I couldn't be happier. This bag offers great high-quality protection. I measured carefully and this bag fits like a glove. Durable covering and very effective padding without being bulky. Great zipper that fully opens for access. It has a pocket for extras, a handle and a shoulder strap. I always said I would never use a gig bag for one of my guitars. Well, a friend recently upgraded from his starter guitar and gave the starter guitar to me. I had $0 invested so I carried it around for a while to places I would never take my "good" guitar. Finally I couldn't stand it getting dinged-up and bought this bag for it (just out of respect for all musical instruments). I was very pleasantly surprised.

The bag is serviceable. The padding seems adequate for protecting the instrument against minor bumps. There were three things that i didn't like about it.
1. It does not appear to be designed to be carried as a backpack. There is one shoulder strap which is fine, but it doesn't seem like it would have taken much to have put two straps on it so that you can ride a bike with it or just tote it around town for busking more conveniently. If you are just taking it out of the car and into the bar then sure, a single shoulder strap is great. But for self-powered transportation, a backpack design is needed.
2. There is no good place to put small oddly shaped objects, such as capo, tuner, packet of picks, etc. The pocket it does have is suitable for holding a small number of pages of sheet music or a folder or thin book, maybe a packet of spare strings. It is simply a slit in the cover with a zipper and clearly is intended to hold something thin and flat. Things in this compartment are not protected--the padding is on the inside side of the pocket. Oddly shaped or somewhat larger objects will put outward pressure on the outer layer of material, i could foresee them possibly poking through or being damaged or causing damage to the guitar if any substantial pressure or impact was incurred in the area where the object was. What is needed is a little pouch, perhaps at the base of the neck where it widens to the body, perhaps one on each side, for capo, harmonica, etc. Also, even the compartment that it does have would be much better if it were a sewn-on pocket with 3 dimensions rather than just a slit, so that even if it were still limited to sheet music, it could at least hold a larger book or a three-ring binder or several small books.
3. I think this could be a tiny bit bigger. One review says it fits like a glove, as if that's a good thing. It fits, but tightly, and to me is not a good thing. I feel like i have to shoehorn the guitar into the bag.

Comments about Gator GBE-Dread Gig Bag for Dreadnought Guitars:

This bag seems well padded and isulated. The nylon shell seems splash resistant. It makes the guitar easy to carry with my roller case that contains the rest of the essentials for one trip gigs (that already supply the basic sound rig). Obviously you must use more care than with a solid case - but this is easy to carry and leaves two hands free.

Will use this bag this winter to store my everyday martin player to keep the temperature changes etc. from messing with the guitar. Nice gig bag, more padding than most and I think it will be just what I was looking for.

Comments about Gator GBE-Dread Gig Bag for Dreadnought Guitars:

I was very skeptical about buying this case because of the size- I was afraid it would be too small as the lower bout measured 15"" (that's exactly what my guitar alone measured). But I decided to give it a try and it's a very great fit for my YAMAHA APX500- not too loose, not too tight. Quality seems to be pretty good, too, though I haven't used it yet, but the material and padding seem to be just right.

Comments about Gator GBE-Dread Gig Bag for Dreadnought Guitars:

For the price this is a good buy. I just needed something to protect from scratches and this bag will do the trick nicely. It's a tight fit but it does fit and the padding is sufficient to let me put the guitar in the car and drive to a buddy's house. If I was going to really travel I'd upgrade but for knocking around this is a great bag. Well worth the very low cost.

Comments about Gator GBE-Dread Gig Bag for Dreadnought Guitars:

adequate for home storage of your instrument, not as heavy duty or thick as I had hoped, but will be just fine. About the only other reason for not giving 5 stars is the glaring 'Gator' emblem. I think it would be nice if it had no logo, or something more subtle, as this overbearing logo will not be influencing anyone in my home to purchase a Gator product. A bit overkill, IMO.

The title says it all. It's a good quality gig bag/case. I use it for storage or carrying to the gig, out on the road, to the park, beach, wherever you play or practice. The bag is durably constructed and a large zippered storage pocket on the case is very handy indeed for your tuner, extra strings, pitch pipe, straps, sheet music, notebooks, or about anything else you'll carry with your axe minus the amp. I bought this one for an Epiphone Pro-1 Series Acoustic and it fits nicely along with other instruments in the same size range.
