In short, this is a solid mic boom stand. However there are a few things I'd hope to address that are minor but may be of concern for others. If you are using the default mounting option, it will loosely creak a bit, no issues to its function whatsoever, but a bit disappointing. The included XLR cable is a nice idea for added value, however the quality of the cable is mediocre at best and I'd have some sketchy issues where plugging into either my Mic or Audio interface causes it to require a bit uncomfortable amount of force to plug-in, and sometimes stick. This doesn't give me confidence when using the included cable in fear of damaging my more expensive equipment. I would rather have excluded this cable, added a option for better cable management, and lowered the price of the item and allow me to use my own cables. Otherwise it holds heavier mics well, and easy to adjust. This item will easily hold your SM7B no worries there. True rating is a 3.5/5

Mine came out of the box pretty creaky, everything else about it is fine as it will hold microphones pretty well and can be adjusted on the fly. The stand isn't really secure and might be the cause of the creaking noise, will update or remove and rewrite my review when my third party stand arrives.

Purchased this boom arm for my SM7B and this is nothing short of great. The tension springs hold the arms securely while still giving this the move-ability i demand from it. Integrated XLR cable is great, with no performance loss/shielding issues. Would recommend 10/10 if looking for a clean/reliable/sleek mic boom arm.
