MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE "J.D. CROWE BANJO STRINGS?
submitted3 years ago

fromWEST COLUMBIA, SC
I RECENTLY BOUGHT MY VERY FIRST BANJO , AND, I IMMEDIATELY CHANGED THE STRINGS JUST LIKE I DO FOR MY GUITARS, AND, MY INTUITION WAS SPOT ON! THESE J.D. CROWE STRINGS ARE THE BEST IN MY OPINION FOR THE FIRST TIME BANJO BUYER! I USUALLY USE THE ADDARIO STRINGS BUT, W/0 ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THE BANJO, I HAD TO DO WITH WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD BY MY GOOD FRIENDS WHO PLAY THE BANJO AND, THE GUITAR! JASON CHANGE YOUR STRINGS IMMEDIATELY UPON GETTING YOUR NEW BANJO! SO, I DID EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TOLD TO DO, AND, THEY WERE 100% CORRECT! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK J.D. CROWE BANJO STRINGS!

Bought this guitar as a gift but own 6 other Martins. Beautiful instrument as usual, great tone and sustain, they're going to love it! Can't wait to see them open the package!
Great bluegrass banjo strings

For those of you who are new to banjo or bluegrass music, J. D. Crowe is one name you need to know, especially if you listened to Jimmy Martin, the King of Bluegrass. J.D. Crowe played for Jimmy Matin as a member of the Sunny Mountian Boys and his sound is amazing. GHS is one brand used a lot by top bluegrass players. I use these strings on my banjo for the sound and the price. I play a lot on my banjo and I am known to put in 8 hours a day in practice and sometimes those prcatice sessions end up in jam sessions and sometimes just before a show that I alternate between guitar and banjo. I like how these strings last and take the hard playing I put em through. Let's think about a 3 day bluegrass festival where a lot of jammin is happening and a lot of performing on stage. you are going to want a good set of strings on your banjo that can take all that and a couple sets for back up just incase. IF you plan on attending a 10 day festival, like the Bill Monroe Bluegrass festival at Bean Blossom, Indiana, you are going to want to have a few sets on hand in your case and these strings are at a good price and are great quality. They sound great and you will be ready for all the jamming you can get into. pick up a few packs today.

these are a good string for beginners. I can afford to break a few while I am learning and the sound is good too..
