GHS

Description

Since 1975, GHS Guitar Boomers have been the power string and continue to set a new standard for musicians in nearly every genre of music. They are nickel-plated steel wound over a round core, which brings a bright tone with a powerful attack that lasts for an extended period of time. Each string is individually sealed in the GHS Nitro-Pack envelope (with GHS' Anti-Corrosion Guarantee), ensuring they're as fresh as the day they were wound them at their factory in Battle Creek, MI.

David Gilmour's connection with GHS Boomers goes back to 1979, when he started using them on Pink Floyd's The Wall project. These Blue Sets are 10, 12, 16, 28, 38 and 48 gauge strings like the ones he uses on his Fender Stratocaster.

These David Gilmour Signature Blue Set electric guitar strings come in a convenient 12-pack and are styled for a Fender.

The little changes in the string diameters make a huge playing difference - the B string is a .012 and the low E is an .048 - just a little difference in diameters, but a huge difference in feel and the tone benefit is unmistakable. I'll probably use these on any guitar that I currently have standard 10's on.

I bought these for my Les Paul and couldn;t be happier. They feel and sound great. So glad I tried these strings out. I'd used GHS in the past, but not the Gilmour sets. Now I see why the man himself uses them on his guitars. Give them a try for yourself and see what I mean. Thank me later. #sweepstakes

They're fine. I like Boomers and I like heavier bottoms for my tele. What could be bad?

This is confusing is it 12 packs of strings, or 12 individually packed strings. The description leads me to think it's the latter, which would be very expensive.
