I was looking for something different than my normal brand of strings. I normally use Ernie Ball 10-52 orange packs, but after a few days of playing the strings start to discolor and they begin to feel dirty and gritty, and that's with doing everything such as washing my hands after I touch something else and using string cleaner and lubricant. Don't get me wrong, Ernie Ball does make a great product, but they just wasn't fully meeting what I really needed. So I seen the Mustaine signature strings and thought I'd give them a try. So far I have no complaints. They haven't discolored yet after having a set on my Jackson Kvmgq for about a week now, and they keep great tone. I highly recommend these strings.

  • For that great chug, and clear tone.

I got them about 3 weeks ago, and they work amazingly with drop d all the way to drop a. I love them because, they deliver the heavy chug, with a crisp tone.

  • My favorite.

I'm using GHS PRDM for couple of years already and I can tell that they've never let me down. And I don't think they ever will. I specially recommend for lower tunings since the "upper" strings are heavier gauge.

For a string-through body, these strings are awsome. But when it comes to a tremlo, they are too thick. They sound awsome but they raise the tremlo so high that the wammy-bar almost touches the guitar body.

These strings needs some getting used to, but when once you do get used to them you powerful while playing these thick strings. Plus, them being extra thick gives the a really full and powerful sound. My opinion, these strings rock!
