Furman PST-8D Power Station Series AC Power Conditioner

Description
Typical AC filters feature antiquated non-linear circuits. Though these multiple stage filters or power cleaners reduce some noise, they do so unevenly. In fact, they can add noise to your power line due to their filter's excessive resonant peaking. With Furman's proprietary Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT), the PST-8D's AC noise is suppressed evenly, assuring maximum performance from your system.
Furman's SMP circuit delivers automatic extreme-voltage shutdown. Extreme voltages are statistically the most common, damaging AC event. The Extreme Voltage Shutdown circuit automatically turns off the unit when it is fed 137 volts or higher protecting itself and connected equipment from the extreme voltage. The PST-8D adds telco and cable/satellite transient voltage suppression, and you have what is, unquestionably, one of the most comprehensive protection solutions available in a portable AC power conditioner.
Conventional AC conditioners employing older technologies leak voltage to circuit ground which can, in fact, aid in damaging sensitive digital circuits such as computer processors. Furman's new technology, however, never directs voltage to the circuit ground further ensuring the safety of your equipment.
Today's overworked, outdated power grid delivers poor quality AC power. When connecting sensitive equipment to regular power outlets, AC noise masks and distorts critical signal information which cripples performance. This is why it's more important than ever to purify or clean the AC powering your sensitive audio/video equipment. And that is why the PST-8 D is such a wise choice.

I do enjoy furman products! It's built like a tank. I have other furman products. I noticed a difference in sound quality right away. Using it on my C setup in my gym. It's Yamaha R-N602 , Yamaha 20 band eq, Yamaha duel cassette deck, SW315 sub, klipsch R51-M shelf speakers and def tech studio monitor 65. Cabling is audioquest, svs,and morrow audio. (Spares I had lying around). It's a great inexpensive investment that will improve your sound quality without a doubt!
Well worth the money

These are very high quality. Don't trust a regular power strip

I purchased this to get rid of the noise from a Honda 2000i generator for an outdoor gig. I had some fairly loud hum and static and it got rid of 90% meaning you had to get right in front of the speakers when it was quiet to hear any hum. Recommended.

I use my tube amp in my bedroom and it makes a relatively loud buzs/hum noise in its resting state. The amp was recently retubed. These noises increase significantly when I plug my phone charger into the same outlet as my amp. According to an electrician friend of mine, the noises were being caused by dirty power and poor wiring in my home. I am not talking about EMI (60 hz) interference that comes through the pickups. I am not talking about EMI (60 hz) interference that comes through the pickups and goes away when you touch metal on your guitar. After doing some research, I thought I'd try a power conditioner. Promises of evenly distributing power to each outlet peaked my interest as something that may fix the charger issue. Promises about delivering clean, filtered power to reduce noise got me hoping that everything being equal, the general hum of the amp may be reduced. Unfortunately, the power conditioner I bought did nothing to reduce the hum of my amp. Before buying, I sent an email to Furman describing the issues I was having and asked which of their products would best suit my needs. I never received a response.
