The Edge Deluxe 1x12 Tube Combo Amp Tweed
Description
Tweaked to the discerning tastes of U2’s renowned guitarist, The Edge Deluxe is the perfect complement to his signature sound. A stalwart Fender amp user for decades, this signature model is an updated take on the classic ’57 tweed Deluxe used to craft his sonic identity on stages and in studios around the world.
Whether played clean or crunchy, this amp produces the tone and articulation of the vintage Fender Deluxe amps that are an important part of his complex multi-amp and effects setup. Voiced to match The Edge’s desire for a simple, highly dynamic design, this 12-watt hand-wired amp features modified circuitry for tighter low end response and high-impact tone.
Extremely dynamic, this updated circuit reacts instantly to the guitar’s output volume and your picking dynamics to unlock a wide variety of amazing clean and overdriven tones that work well with almost any style of music.
The distinctive voice of the coveted 12” Celestion® Blue speaker, with its smooth attack, warm lows, mellow upper midrange and bell-like high end, creates richlydefined tone with highly musical compression when pushed.
As you’d expected from an amp with his signature logo on the front, The Edge Amp is extremely pedal-friendly, taking tone shapers of any type with ease, so you can use it as the foundation of your own sound. An exciting take on the classic Fender tweed formula, The Edge Deluxe is the perfect paintbrush to create your sonic landscape

The deluxe amps from the 50s are some of the best I have ever used. The edge is probably the loudest of them with an incredibly warm and punchy sound. If I could just have one amp it would be this one.
The Edge Deluxe is one of the best amps I have owned.

I use the amp for mostly small venues and practice. The tone and power is unmatched from other amps I've used.
Blown away by how good this really is...

This is an amazing sounding amplifier. The 2 12AX7's and the combination of the alnico blue make this thing sound like gold. Breakup starts with the volume at 1.5 and this amp is LOUD. Not for your bedroom practice amp. You can switch the V1 12AX7 tube for a 12AY7 or 5751 to make it less aggressive and a little cleaner at low volume, but still have that classic tweed sound when you turn the volume knob up. If you have the money, this is the sound you've always wanted!! Buy open box and save $700.00. This comes with vintage cover and yes, the edge logo is removable.

I seen this demonstrated at the 2016 NAMM show in Anaheim, CA back in Jan. It really sounded awesome, just the right tone and breakup was perfect at just the right volume. Small and medium gigs would be fine, but a mic on the amp is a must if you want even dispersion without overdriving it.
