Yes, they're big, but they work

I just purchased these strap locks for my Jazz Bass. There's no denying that they're big, almost to the point that they're ugly (look at my picture and decide for yourself). With the strap attached, they stick out nearly an inch from the body of the bass. But as a result of the size, they feel extremely solid to me. I have small hands, so having more "mass" makes them very easy to connect and disconnect. I don't jump around like a young Pete Townsend when I play, so I cannot attest to how strong they are, but they feel like they're strong enough. Others here have already stated that the threads may be just a tad too short to work properly on thicker straps, and I agree. Overall, I think they're great, and I don't mind how big they are.

Not fit for thick straps...

If you own a thick strap, do not buy this lock.. the screw length is too short to go through and get fastened... i own an onori strap and this strap lock is useless coz it wont fasten onto the strap...

Works better then the one that has a little ball top one. That ones tip breaks off and your pretty much screwed.

Easy to install but the screws are of such poor quality that one broke off, with now way to remove the fragment from the guitar. Avoid and go for a better quality strap lock.

Easy to install, but on the first day of using the provided screw broke off. Unable to remove the remnant, I had to drill a new hole in my Squier Classic Vibe Tele and use a better quality screw. Either use a stronger screw or purchase a different product.

  • I would buy again and probably will

I never knew Fender made a set. I like the way they attached to the strap. Much easier than others. Just a tad difficult to release from guitar, but I'm getting use to them.
