I've only had a chance to use it a few times but I'm in love with this amp head. I switched to this from an old Ampeg BA115 combo amp. And, I have been using it with the Rumble 115 600W 1x15 cab and Rumble 700W 2x10. I wanted something larger that I could use for gigs, and would keep up for outdoor shows. But, I also wanted something solid state because I play a lot at home and at a smaller church venue. So, I needed to be able to get a good low tone at low volumes too. I haven't really messed with the overdrive/contour/vintage settings much. Pros: Lots of power Light weight Comes with a bag for transport Feet fit perfectly on the Rumble cabs so it doesn't slip around I love that it has low mids and high mids controls Cons: None really that I've found so far Overall, this was a great purchase. It's super versatile for large or small settings. It has tons of power and has a beautiful tone. I would absolutely recommend it to others. #sweepstakes

Fender told me I shouldn't add a 115 cab to go with my 410 said the 115 isn't rated to handle the 400 watts that was my plan when I bought it.
I love this head!

Just looking to lighten the load but not lose tone. I was pleasantly surprised. Previous preamp and power amp set up was 40lbs. I am so pleased with this choice!
Best bang for the buck!

I did a lot of research before I bought a new bass head, and this head was end and shoulders better priced than the Mesa 800 etc. with the same features! I was not disappointed when it arrived at my local guitar center!! Best amp I've ever had! If your thinking of buying it, do it,you will not be disappointed! Fender rocks!
It is a good amp at a nice price with nice features

This amp is user friendly. Tone is quite good. I purchased an MXR 10 band EQ prior to receiving this amp to protect my speaker from 40hz low end but not needing it with my passive basses. Perhaps It might come in handy with my 5 string active bass. It does come in handy reducing hiss when drive engaged at higher levels. During normal operation the amp is very quiet!. I read questions from 2 years ago asking does it come with Speakon Cable and the answer was no. I can tell you the one I ordered and received comes with a 3 ft. Heavy duty speakon cable, nice carrying bag with front pocket, Foot switch with 15 ft. cable. Another review I read complaining about no tuner out. You can (and I do) use the Effects Send to your tuner. I like the features this amp comes with. I use the Drive and Level output operated with foot switch for increased gain when going between my Fender basses and my Gretsch (that has slightly lower gain) or just when I need to increase volume level on the fly on a particular song . The tone and volume customization on this amp is quite nice. It is a different animal than previous amps but the more I play it the more I like this animal. Haven't had it long enough to determine longevity. Fender puts a 2 year warranty on it.
