PUNCH!
I paired this little monster up with the 4X10 and 1X15 RUMBLE stack...Talk about "pushing air"! The tone goes from a crisp, brilliance (BRIGHT SWITCH in the tone pallet) to a deep, throaty, tube sound (VINTAGE SWITCH in the tone pallet). There is also a CONTOUR SWITCH (almost like a compressor) that gives you a soft, mid-range cut that's great for jazz. The OVER-DRIVE is the best I've ever used and offers a wide range of effects. The unit is feather light and comes with a sturdy, padded, gig bag. As far as power; you can play just about any gig short of a "stadium". So far I've found no faults with the head, though I think a "clip" indicator would be helpful. I've been playing bass for 45+ years and have never been disappointed with Fender.

This amp head is great. 2 star for guitar center service.
The head it's self is great. But it didn't come with a carry bag like advertised. I didn't take it back to guitar center because it's a hassle when they're involved. So I just took my lose and moved on.

This little guy does the job in my very loud band. The first 3hrs on and it wasn't even warm! It will now live in an AC (T) 100 Vox head. Sorry I held out a few years.

Great Head !!!!!! FIVE pounds !!!!! 500 WATTS !!!!! Play with the buttons, I like the Bright button. The overdrive circuit is killer. Built in compression means that it kicks in more when you turn it up more. It knows when it's "enough.". I also have a Markbass 800 watt that has two inputs which is great for my drummer and me to play through one amp. But that was $800 !!!! For the size, power, and price, you'll have a hard time beating the Rumble 500. BTW, I use the two outputs to play through a 2x10 and a 1x12 at the same time. Great amp head !!!!

Perfect size, weight, power. Sounds great. simple to use. If you'd rather spend time playing than messing with knobs to endlessly adjust your tone then this is ideal. Same set up as the 500 combo, so if you like that you won't be disappointed
Finally something that is affordable and delivers

Gobs of power, solid tone across the board, simple, LOUD, headroom... it comfortably runs my 810 SVT, active 4 string 5 string it's ready for them. Perfect backup amp if your not ready or willing to change your current setup. Post eq out is only issue But easily can overlook that as a reason not to get this.
Almost perfect

For the price, weight, size, and options, this is a great head. It's as loud as I'll ever need and with the Vintage, Contour, and Bright presets plus the 4 bar knobs, it's very versatile. Overall, pretty fantastic. The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that the overdrive doesn't overdrive as much as I'd like. Even with the level all the way right its just noticeable. But, silver linings, if I turn the overdrive level to zero and use the footswitch to activate it, it becomes a mute switch, something this head lacks. So there you go. I'd buy it again for sure but I may have to shop around for an overdrive pedal.
Like it a lot

Many venues now are going with DI with no amps on stage. Can this head be used by DI without having to have any cabinets plugged into it? Thank you.
Yes, this model has XLR line outputs for direct input to the PA.
