Dropped these into a 2018 Player Series Strat and the difference is so huge. Much cleaner, clearer, and chime tone for days. Handles clean and drive equally well. Always liked my strat but now it might be my favorite guitar in the collection.

I bought these Pure Vintage 59 pickups to replace a set of American Standard pickups from a '97 Strat. These were a huge improvement over the stock pickups. These have less output but have a more dynamic and bell like tone. They sound like the real deal. I'm very pleased.

Best Strat pickups I've ever owned. If you want a classic Strat like SRV without the added mids, these are the pickups to get.
Awesome.......

I discovered these pickups in a search for something different recently to break up the same old-same old. I have some high end custom wounds and several other quality sets in all my strats. I found some online videos but still that didn't say a lot because there's too many factors to be considered....playing style, set up, string gauge etc, but I knew I could make them work and would definitely be a quality upgrade to the stock Tex mex I had. I waited to write a review because I needed time to really try them out. They're basically the same exact pickup, no reverse wound middle or hotter bridge. They say they're like they were back in that era and originally there was only a 3 position switch so being rwrp wasn't a thought. With that being said the 'hum' is there but I think if that's an issue you're a little too picky. The sound of these pickups are phenomenal, way better than I expected. It's hard to narrow them into a category. All fenders CS pickups are high quality and I have them all, I just believe these can do what you want without reservation. They're very warm but it overly bassy, they cut the mix but are rounded more so than any other. These aren't just an upgrade, they're a standard. You won't be disappointed

Would these work fine on a left handed guitar?
The posts may need to be adjusted (not very likely.) but they will work.
