This amp gives GREAT TONE, AMAZING SPARKLE. I love cleans with a tiny bit of drive, unfortunately at that particular level this amp has horrendous tube rattle. Pretty much the Achilles heel of this amp is the tube rattle. I want to love this amp but the tube rattle drives me INSANE so it sits next to a handsome devil stack and collects dust.
Do the Right Thing - Buy Two

I am a young, but actively gigging musician with an arsenal of amps - Marshall Vint-Mod 50, 2 Genz Benz El Diablo 100s (1 with EL 34s and 1 with 6L6s), 2 Line 6/Bogner Spidervalves (40 watt combo & 100 watt head), but my configuration of choice has now become running 2 Pro Juniors in tandam through the stereo output on my delay unit. Just set the volume to 11, control your tone, volume and dynamics from your instrument, and prepare yourself for the sweetest vintage sound you can ever imagine! With the instrument volume full out, I attain the creamiest tone I've ever achieved from any of my other amps. Added bonus - no more lugging 2 4x12 cabs and a 60lb head to every gig!
Great Amp, Great Price

For techical specs, please see Fender's Website. This amp has a deep warm sound. Classic Tube sound all the way. I tried the Epiphone 5W tube amp, the Fender Vibro Champ, and the Vox AD30VT (Valvetronics) These were nice amps, two of these had effects added to them, nut the tone quality could not compare to that of the Pro Jr. This little amp is very simple a volume and a tone control. That is it. Great sound, remains true a high volumes (i.e. it does not crackle when you play it a high volume). All in all a great amp! I would highly recommend it.
Solid Little Amp

For the money, this is a sweet little amp. Smooths out the rough edges of stompboxes, so it's well worth the extra money over the solid-state competitors. Alone, I do wish the distortion would begin a little sooner than it does, but it's not enough to make me want to trade it. I'll sometimes A-B it with my '66 Bassman for a little extra depth to my sound.

I got my first Fender tube amp in the early 70's, a Vibrosonic with a 15". I've had classic twins etc. This is all the amp most musicians will ever need, provided you have a good multi effects unit, or at very least a good distortion pedal. It is a bit noisy when turned up past halfway, and just plain louder than s/s amps of double or more the wattage. Purists will appreciate the sweet tone courtesy of the super simple, clean circuitry. You might think you need more than 15 watts, but it is surprisingly loud.

As they say, don't let how simple this amp is fool you. It gives some great Fender tube tone for practicing. It's small enough that you can crank it up to get some warm tube distortion without your neighbors hating you. I've even used it for jamming with a drummer. It sounded awesome turned way up. It's a good value for your money and lives up to the Fender name. If you want a straightforward tube amp you will not be disappointed.
