Fender Player II Jaguar Electric Guitar | Demo and Overview with Samm Henshaw
Description
The Player II Jaguar from Fender breathes new life into a classic design, updating the iconic offset body style with modern appointments for a guitar that encourages creative exploration. With its slinky feel and versatile tones, the Player II Jaguar is an inspiring instrument that will have you reaching for new chords, riffs and melodic ideas.

Familiar Fender Tone With a Modern Twist
While the Player II Jaguar stays true to its vintage-inspired roots, it incorporates Fender's latest enhancements for a distinctly modern voice. The duo of Alnico V and Alnico II single-coil pickups serve up that classic jangly chime, but with a bit more bite and sustain. The 24" scale length strikes a perfect balance between playability and tonality. Together with the slab rosewood fingerboard, these features translate to an unmistakable Fender tone—while still sounding fresh and relevant.

Slinky Playing Feel Inspires Creativity
From the moment you pick up the Player II Jaguar, you'll be inspired by its slinky, unique playing feel. The slim-taper neck profile makes fretting chords and riffs a breeze, while the 9.5" fingerboard radius allows effortless string bending. The vintage-style tremolo bridge adds a smooth, buttery responsiveness to your vibrato. Overall, the Player II Jaguar encourages you to dig in and explore new creative avenues, whether you're writing a new song or putting your spin on an old favorite.

Unlock Diverse Tones With Flexible Appointments
Packed with player-friendly features, the Player II Jaguar delivers premium versatility. The 3-way blade pickup selector makes it easy to toggle between the bright, articulate bridge pickup, the warm, rounded neck pickup—or a perfectly blended combination. Meanwhile, the vintage-style floating tremolo offers expressive vibrato effects for adding motion to leads and chords. Top it off with the classic black/white/black pickguard, and you've got a guitar as stylish as it is sonically adaptable.

Spotlight-Ready Style and Road-Proven Durability
The Player II Jaguar looks every bit as slick as it sounds, with its iconic offset body shape and gleaming chrome accents. Yet it's built tough to withstand years of gigging and recording. The alder body resonates with a warm, balanced tone, while the satin-finished maple neck lets your hand glide effortlessly up and down the rosewood fingerboard. Whether you're hitting the club circuit or laying down tracks in the studio, the Player II Jaguar makes a statement on stage and off.
With its unique voice, inspiring feel and head-turning style, the Player II Jaguar is a true performer's instrument—perfect for seasoned players seeking to expand their sonic palette or newcomers looking to explore new creative territory. Visit your local Guitar Center today and experience this modern spin on a classic firsthand.

How would you react if you bought a brand new car and the dealership acted confused/indignant when you asked if it was all ready to go and if there was a tech on staff to make sure the alignment was correct and there was oil in the engine? Most people wouldn't even think to ask, assuming that a brand new car is in fact ready to drive. They certainly would not accept that it would be 2 weeks and cost additional money to get the brand new car functional. Guitar Center told me they'd be happy to put me in the queue and have their "luthier" look at my brand new guitar within the next few weeks at their standard labor rate. So, out the door I went. Well I was having intonation and tuning stability issues almost immediately. Luckily I found a wonderful local luthier who pointed out all the things completely wrong with this guitar that should absolutely not be present -- remnants of glue and oxidation on the fretboard; oscillating tool marks on the fretboard from shotty sanding in the factory; the 2 pickups putting out different output volume; low and high E strings totally out of whack at the bridge....Let's not get started on this terrible bridge design that will go out of alignment with a slight bump of the hand which completely screws up the intonation. $75 later, the guitar is set up and working properly. Next step will be a custom mod to get a Bigsby style bridge to replace the current abomination. I love the tone and playability of the guitar. In that regard I give 5 stars. The 1 star rating is specifically for Guitar Center letting brand new guitars leave their store without even a 5 minute check over. This is absolutely unacceptable and terrible customer service. Never again.
