This is the handle that unfortunately comes standard on many Fender amps these days. For small and light weight amps maybe it's fine, but my experience with this handle was that it came on my '59 Bassman RI which I had for about 6 months when the handle utterly failed and ripped apart at the seam as I was pulling the amp out of my trunk. Luckily it only fell about 3 inches back into my car without any damage to the amp itself, but I was plagued by terrible visions of other times it COULD have fallen apart. I suppose I'm lucky I wasn't carrying it down the stairs to my basement jam room, or loading-in for a gig. It seems ridiculous to me that Fender would issue an amp that streets for about $1,500 and is more than a bit heavy and uses otherwise excellent parts and then roll the dice on a cheap, flimsy, light-duty handle like this. If you shell out the cash for a nice amp you have to feel SECURE in the build quality, that it won't fall apart on you. Despite the fact that I LOVE my amp, looking at this handle I can't help but wonder what other corners were cut to save money. Wake up Fender - we deserve better than this. If you have an amp with this handle that weighs more than 20lbs or so, be on your caution and order something made of leather from a 3rd party BEFORE you head out to a gig or take it down a long flight of stairs.
Bad Handle

I own a Blues Jr. and a Blues Deluxe Reverb... I have owned these for about two years and one year respectively. These handles failed on me a number of times. It seems that the seams on the ends of the handles fail miserably. I have replaced handles on both of these amps now about three times each. Something is just not right with that picture. The handles on my twin reverb and deluxe reverb are much better. I can't imagine why Fender of all manufacturers would put such a cheaply made handle on any amplifier. These are not to be trusted and if you have another option, go for it. You don't want to have to buy a new amp because the handle failed.
So Far So Good

I replaced the handle on my Fender Blues Jr, which I carry to clubs twice a week. Replacing the handle was simple. All I needed was a screwdriver. Now, I try to carry the amp with one hand underneath. But, when I have a guitar in the other hand, I just use this handle. The handle doesn't seem thick enough to hold this amp for long. The first handle lasted about five years. I'm hoping that this handle will last longer. So far, so good.

I have a 50+ year-old Fender Concert amplifier, and the brown "dogbone" rubber handle broke. It's dimensions are 7 1/4" X 1". Do you have a replacement handle with those dimensions, or can you order one?
We could order you one via special order through Fender. Please give us a call and we can set this up.
