Description
The Fender American Professional II Telecaster rosewood fingerboard electric guitar is a masterful evolution of the guitar that defined rock, country, and blues. Combining timeless design with modern enhancements, this model delivers the classic Telecaster tone while offering improved comfort and playability. Its lightweight alder body produces articulate highs, warm mids, and tight lows, ensuring the balanced resonance Fender is known for. The addition of a rosewood fingerboard introduces a warmer tonal character, perfect for players who want depth and richness in their sound. From its sculpted neck heel to its premium V-Mod II pickups, every detail of this Telecaster is designed to inspire creativity and deliver an exceptional playing experience.
Fender V-Mod II Pickups Deliver Articulate Tone
The V-Mod II single-coil pickups in this guitar redefine Telecaster tone, offering the bright, punchy character players love with enhanced clarity. The bridge pickup delivers the classic Tele bite, cutting through mixes with ease, while the neck pickup provides smooth warmth and depth for rhythm sections or mellow leads. Whether you're playing clean or pushing the gain, these pickups retain articulate dynamics without sacrificing the iconic twang that made the Telecaster a legend. Designed to meet the demands of modern musicians, this pickup set ensures tonal fidelity across all playing styles.
Deep C Neck Profile for Comfort and Speed
This instrument features a Deep C-shaped neck profile that balances substance and speed, offering a comfortable grip without feeling bulky. The satin finish eliminates stickiness, giving players a fast, natural feel during long sessions. Rolled fingerboard edges and narrow tall frets make bending notes effortless while maintaining smooth playability. The sculpted neck heel improves upper-fret access, allowing players to explore the full range of the rosewood fingerboard with ease. Whether you're fretting intricate chords or delivering fluid solos, the neck design enhances playability without compromising tone or stability.
Top-Load/Through-Body Bridge for Precision Setup
The 3-saddle bridge on this model combines vintage styling with modern functionality, offering both top-load and string-through configurations for personalized string tension. Compensated brass saddles ensure accurate intonation while maintaining the warm resonance associated with traditional Telecaster bridges. This innovative design allows players to tailor their setup to match their playing style, whether they prefer tight, responsive strings or a looser feel for expressive bends. Built for precision and tonal consistency, this bridge system elevates the Telecaster's performance capabilities.
Fender Craftsmanship That Stands The Test Of Time
The American Professional II Telecaster is constructed with premium materials to ensure durability and performance. Its alder body is finished in satin urethane for enhanced resonance and a smooth, comfortable feel. Fender ClassicGear tuners provide precise adjustments, while a synthetic bone nut ensures stable tuning and consistent string action. Designed for gigging musicians and studio professionals alike, this guitar delivers the reliability and build quality players expect from Fender. Included with a deluxe molded case, it's protected and ready for years of consistent performance.

Excellent Telecaster

I've had it for almost a year now. It took me a while to gel with it. Part of this had to do with finding the right amp for the style of music I like. Now that I have the amp, I'm loving the telecaster even more. The Dark Night finish, setup and neck are great.
One of the best guitars I've ever played

Was originally going for the Ultra, but after I played it, the pick ups sounded a bit dull and it didn't have that Tele bite. The American Pro II is a fine instrument especially with the rosewood fingerboard.
I would buy this again

The best thing about this guitar is the neck. The neck is pure greatness, so smooth and easy. The next best thing about this guitar is the pick ups. They sound amazing. It's a little spiky through my Vox ac30 (gotta roll off the tone control) but pure creamy goodness through my fender amps. The third best thing about this guitar is that the fingerboard is so dark, i'd swear it was Ebony instead of Rosewood. I love an ebony fingerboard. Side by side next to my rosewood American professional I Stratocaster, this fingerboard is so much darker for whatever reason. It looks awesome having such a dark fingerboard with the dark night body… Downsides, The bushings in the back of the body for the string-through we're not tightly fitted into the body and might fall out if you top-load. Which leads me to my next criticism, I did top load this guitar with the string through a bridge and I had a lot of problems with slippage on the brass saddles. If you don't do a lot of bending it probably won't be an issue for you but if you do a band expect that the strings will shift on the saddle. This was really annoying and I immediately went back to the string through set up which solved the problem.

this is a gift can it be returned if necessary. i know my husband wants a telacaster but that's it. i read about saddles, frets strings loosening which concerns as well as other comments on other items i mentioned. very important i can return if necessary
Absolutely you can return it. Please don't be overly concerned about comments. They are often based on opinion and POV. This is a Fender Professional. They invented the solid body electric. And the Tele was the first one. They know what they're doing.submitted3 years ago
