collapse expand iconDescription

Since its debut in 1954, the Stratocaster has undergone constant refinement to meet the needs and desires of the working guitarist. The American Professional II Strat may be one of the most complete evolutions of this time-tested, player-proven guitar yet.

Bringing touches previously reserved for Custom Shop instruments to a production guitar makes this a very special player. Start with the lightweight, ringingly resonant roasted pine body, recalling some of Fender's earliest guitars. With a smoothly rolled fingerboard edge, sculpted neck heel and a satin neck finish that feels almost naked, it's an incredibly comfortable guitar to play. Freshly revised V-Mod II pickups add articulation and warmth to classic Strat chime, while the upgraded 2-point synchronized tremolo with its cold-rolled steel block adds sustain and increases clarity while adding a touch of high-end sparkle.

Instantly, totally familiar but subtly different, the American Pro II Strat is one of the most versatile electric guitars you're likely to play. Fender may well have created a new standard in production guitars with this one. Includes deluxe molded case.

Bought this guitar a month ago and absolutely love the way it sounds. This is my second Stratocaster the first has locking tuning that's the only thing missing from this guitar otherwise I give it a thumbs up.

  • Amazing!

This has been my dream guitar for 30 years and I finally treated myself. There is no comparison to an American Strat. Quality, finish, playability, and most importantly tone. Everything perfect like you would expect from Fender. I couldn't be happier.

  • I would buy this again

Finish on the headstock nect to the nut was cracked off and nut slots were not cut evenly or deep enough on four strings. Looks like they had some difficulty with the nut in general. Both easy fixes since I have the tools for a proper set up. Questionable QA at the factory for an American Fender. Shouldn't really have gone out of the factory as is. I will finish the setup and repair the poly at the nut.

I only had a problem with the tuning, but other than that the variety and range in the pickups is perfect. And it plays great. I use it for my band guitar and it handles anything you through at it.

Ordered this over the phone and it arrived a few days after President's Day. Straight out of the box, a Roasted Pine Stratocaster with a Maple fretboard. The action is great and that fretboard is smooth! This one is quickly becoming my favorite electric guitar

Unfortunately additional pictures are unavailable. Blemishes are slight and do not affect the tone or play ability of the instrument.

All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This is 7- 8.5 lbs

The sound won't be very different since the difference in components and even then the differences are minor.
