The Fender American Professional II Jazzmaster brings this iconic guitar into the modern era with new V-Mod II Jazzmaster single-coil pickups provide articulate tone with sparkling highs and a throaty bridge pickup tap mode. The redesigned neck heel, rolled fretboard edges and satin "Super-Natural" finish offer a fast, comfortable playing feel.

New V-Mod II Pickups Redefine Jazzmaster Sound

Fender's new V-Mod II Jazzmaster pickups deliver clarity and punch. The bridge pickup features a tap mode for switching between a bold, gritty tone and a vintage-inspired sound. Combined with the rhythm circuit, which places both pickups in series for increased output, the V-Mod IIs provide a spectrum of Jazzmaster sounds.

Redesigned Neck Improves Playability

A new sculpted neck heel provides unimpeded access to the upper frets. Smooth rolled fretboard edges and a satin "Super-Natural" finish enhance comfort. The Deep C neck profile feels substantial yet fast. These ergonomic upgrades make the American Pro II Jazzmaster a joy to play.

Enhanced Tremolo System Expands Expressiveness

The new Panorama Tremolo system dramatically increases pitch range compared to a traditional Jazzmaster bridge. Players can achieve deep dives as well as subtle warble. A pop-in tremolo arm provides stability during intense use.

Professional Grade From Top to Bottom

From its redesigned neck heel to its road-ready hardshell case, the American Professional II Jazzmaster delivers professional performance. Additional features include 22 narrow tall frets, a 9.5" fretboard radius and a bone nut. The Fender American Professional II Jazzmaster is a reimagined offset classic for today's working musicians.

Great playability, smooth, comfortable neck that feels comfortable in your hand. The case is sturdy and makes any kind of travel possible. The 'dark night' finish is beautiful, pictures don't do it justice. Another great Fender product

I rec'd my Jazzmaster dark knight back in early Dec 2021, after being put on a wait-list just a few days before. Apparently GC shipped me one from a store, so I was worried it wd have demo wear n tear on it, but it was flawless. Plays fantastic. I play my other cheap (under $900) guitars and I think they're great until I play this one again(!) I hate to say it, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Great job to the American craftsmen/women that made this guitar. It sounds dumb, but this guitar is more "musical" than all my others. Maybe lyrical is a better word? It just makes a more beautiful sound than my 4 other electrics (none Jazzmasters). It's a pleasure to look at and to play. I Love the rhythm side b/c it has a beefier tone to fill out the sound. The push/push switches are brilliant. Note- I broke the hi E string and barely got the replacement ernie ball .09 to reach all the way to the tuner! This guitar is seriously long from the bridge to the top E tuner. I'm wishing I hadn't sold my Fender Twin Reverb amp.

Jazzmasters don't sound like anything else. Or put another way, nothing sound like a Jazzmaster. I love P-90s, humbuckers, etc., but I decided that if I was going to get my first Jaazzmaster, it was going to be the real deal. And man, this is the real deal. The tone is pure Jazzmaster. To fit my style and taste I switched to flatwound 11s. It is incredibly versatile and more sensitive to the onboard controls than any other guitar I own. The fit and finish are excellent, as expected from a Fender AmPro II. The neck is super comfortable. The frets are perfectly rounded. The color is a little lighter than the photos show, which I'm very happy with - beautiful. It really is a wonderful instrument.

  • Dead bridge pickup

The fit and finish was flawless and the blue is much more prominent in person. The black tip to the trem arm would slip on and off the arm. The arm was threaded, the tip was not. The bridge pickup was dead and the guitar was returned.

It is perfect. The set up from the shop was as good as it gets. Ive had it for a year or so now and no issues whatsoever and I've used it A LOT. Pickups are great, stays in tune, and is very comfortable. Could not be happier, worth the money.

  • Dark Night version = pretty rad

Dark Night version- Notable coolness: Color is pretty amazing - metallic Tidepool'burst over Black. The wiring and elec setup on this Jazzmaster is different, push/push bridge option is fun - upper controls = series option (why? its a jazzmaster). Really nice fretting & rolled neck edge feels buttery & you cant even see it. Neck's got satin back w polished front (clever) - kind'a full feeling but not fat/chunky. Full neck + 9.5" radius = unfamiliar, but plays beautifully (got small hands). This guitar is supposed to have V-Mod pickups, but mine appears to have Vintage '65's(?). No worries, they're actually my fav and they do sound diff with this new (experimental) wiring - sound awesome w ProCo You Dirty Rat pedal. Oh yeah, comes w strings frm D'Adarrio!! Great quality for the price imo (+primo flight case!) - Fender did an exclnt job on this one. Overall, I'm really happy with this guitar.

I am very interested in purchasing this guitar. However, I'd like to try before I buy. Why is it incredibly difficult to do this? They are nowhere to be found despite being listed everywhere for back order.

If a store doesn't have one in stock, an order needs to be placed to have one sent. They can't be found because they are on back order

I have not seen this guitar come off backorder since it was first offered for sale over half a year ago (i.e. before Xmas 2020). I understand the COVID impact with suppliers, so not complaining, but any idea when these will be available to ship?
