Fender Custom Shop SuperNova Stratocaster HSS Heavy Relic Floyd Rose Electric Guitar Black over Red Sparkle
Description
The Fender Custom Shop SuperNova Stratocaster HSS Heavy Relic Floyd Rose is a meticulously crafted solidbody electric guitar designed to inspire. It features a custom Heavy Relic nitrocellulose lacquer finish that gives the appearance of years of hard-earned wear and tear. The alder body and 3A roasted flame maple neck provide a rigid foundation for the HSS pickup configuration, which includes two vintage-style single-coil Strat pickups in the middle and neck positions and a powerful humbucker in the bridge. This potent tonal combination produces everything from bell-like cleans to roaring overdrive.
Roasted Flame Maple Neck
The SuperNova Strat's 3A roasted flame maple neck provides rigidity and resonance. The roasting process strengthens the wood, reducing the chance of warping over time. A comfortable '60s oval C-shaped profile gives you a handful of fast, playable wood. The rosewood fingerboard adds warmth and articulation. White dot inlays provide position markers that keep you oriented without distracting from the guitar's aesthetic.
Premium Pickups and Switching
The SuperNova Strat's pickups provide a range of tones suited for any genre. The single-coil Strat pickups offer the articulate, sparkling tone that defined decades of music. The bridge humbucker adds thickness and grit for heavier styles. A 5-way pickup selector switch gives you access to each pickup individually as well as combinations in between. Roll back the volume or tone knobs to tap into even more tonal variations.
Floyd Rose Tremolo
The Floyd Rose tremolo bridge allows for radical pitch-bending effects while keeping the SuperNova Strat in tune. This double-locking system clamps the strings at the nut and bridge, increasing string tension for stability under heavy use. Bend up or down, tap and flutter to your heart's content. The Floyd Rose, combined with the humbucker and single-coil pickups, makes this an incredibly expressive instrument.
Premium Appointments
Fender Custom Shop attention to detail is evident throughout the SuperNova Strat. Vintage-style tuners, knobs and a synchronized tremolo bridge maintain an iconic look. The bone nut and saddles transfer string vibration for full, rich tone. All wiring, soldering and electronic components meet Fender Custom Shop standards for performance and reliability gig after gig. A custom case is included to protect your investment.

Most comfortable Strat I've played

I've owned a few strats, but never was able to truly connect to any. Once I played a few notes on this bad boy, the tunes slipped off my fingers like butter. Coming from a Les Paul, the 12 inch radius feels like home... it's outrageously comfortable. And I'm surprised by how dynamic and articulate the WG humbucker is, unlike my Les Paul's custombuckers which lose definition when pushed. I play it everyday, and that's a true statement. It just feels right

If you're comfortable spending this kind of money, this is a true example of a "desert island" guitar that can handle pretty much any genre of music. The Wolfgang pickup in the bridge is an excellent choice and the chord definition and harmonics have to be heard in person to fully appreciate. There is no coil split but it has a 5 way switch. The single coils are nice and stratty sounding. The Floyd Rose is the real deal Original Floyd, not a cheap 1000 series or other such knockoff. Once I got the strings stretched and tuned up, I've played this guitar to within an inch of its life and it hasn't gone out of tune yet. The neck is where I am most pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind, each of these models are completely hand made so there will be slight variations, but mine has a beautiful dark roasted neck. If you look at the product photo, it looks like the back of the neck is sanded down a little. But on the one I received, the neck is not sanded. Which I am happily surprised about. It's a nice chunky but smooth feeling neck. I'm not an expert on Fender neck sizes so I don't know what shape it's called, but I have a Gibson Slash Les Paul and it's very close to that feel. Overall, this guitar is for a very specific market but if you fall into this demographic, I don't think you would be disappointed with this beautiful beast. Well done, Fender Custom Shop!

I have owned the exact guitar pictured for over a year now. Why am I still seeing it advertised? No big deal, just curious being that it's a custom shop and no two relic finishes are alike. Excellent guitar to say the least 🤘🏼🎸
