Game of Thrones Sigil Collection | Custom Shop | Fender

Description
A smoky, refined twist on a classic, the Sigil Collection Game of Thrones House Targaryen Stratocaster pays tribute to the dynasty who left their mark on the history of the Seven Kingdoms. This bespoke guitar was painstakingly crafted by Principal Master Builder, Ron Thorn, who created the unique “dragon scaled” body in homage to House Targaryen. Crafted to order, this guitar could only have come from Westeros—and the Dream Factory, the Fender Custom Shop.

Covered with flawlessly carved dragon scales on the front and back, the lightweight alder body features a unique satin “Dragonglass Black” paint, protected with a thin lacquer finish. Three Hand-Wound Texas Special™ single-coil Stratocaster pickups breathe fiery, high-output tone that’s perfect for burning up the stage.

For fast, smooth playing feel and elegant aesthetics, the “Medium C”- shaped maple neck hosts a 9.5”-radius ebony fingerboard with 6150 fretwire for modern playing feel and worry-free bending. The hand-cut and engraved sterling silver dot position markers include an elegant dragon sigil at the first fret; the 12th fret features two throne “O” inlays carved from coral. A work of art on its own, the exquisite hand-tooled and stained leather pickguard boldly bears House Targaryen’s three-headed dragon sigil in all its fiery ferocity.

Other features include black hardware, five-way switching, custom modern wiring, vintage-style six-screw synchronized tremolo with bent-steel saddles, vintage-style tuning machines and bone nut. The Sigil Collection Game of Thrones House Targaryen Stratocaster includes a custom reptilian embossed leather hardshell case with matching strap and Certificate of Authenticity.

To God be the glory!

I've been fasting and praying for years, waiting with the patience of a saint (no pun intended), that this axe would go on clearance. And would you believe it? God has answered my prayers! I immediately placed my order and even payed the extra for 1 day shipping. Figured for once in my life, I'd splurge for expediency. I wanted it fast so that I could play it for Wednesday night service last week. I chose Wednesday night service because it's usually a smaller crowd. I wanted to make sure it was a worthy instrument before wielding it on packed Sunday morning gathering. After the first strum, (ironically it was an open G), nothing will never be the same again here at our church. I felt fiery, electric bolts of energy rush through my wrist, into my hands, and subsequently my fingers. The Spirit was moving to say the least. Sinners began to repent. Droves of backsliders began streaming through the doors. All kinds of people were baptized in the spiritual fire that this guitar produced. I can only imagine that this is the closest thing the the Day of Pentecost since the Day of Pentecost. Please refer to Acts chapter 2, verse 3 in your King James Bible if you need a reference point. Suddenly, after only one song, the pastor told me that he was resigning his position and wanted me to "lead the flock" from now on. Needless to say I accepted his offer. Who am I to argue with a man of God? Unfortunately, I won't be able to play this guitar anymore because of my new pastoral responsibilities. I've decided to burn it as a sacrifice to God to show how dedicated and faithful I am to my new calling. God bless you all! And please feel free to join us for Sunday service. Even if music may not be as great as it once was in days past.

Fantastic beginner/practice guitar for a reasonable price

I paid the 35k to get a top notch guitar, but I thought it didn't meet my personal needs so I gave it to the neighbors kid. He loved the gift and vowed to practice every day, and he kept true to his word as I hear him playing every day. But that doesn't matter cause he's a bad guitarist

With this guitar, Fender finally figured out how the average player can go perfectly straight into a Bm chord every time! Thanks Fender!

I originally bought this guitar because it seemed like a good, cheap starter, but when it arrived I wasn't really feeling it, so I gave it to my 2 month old nephew. In a 30 minute timespan, he learned every Metallica song on it and started shredding better than I could. After a few months, I decided to buy another for myself to use for parts.

  • Just a bit expensive

I sold all of my limbs and organs to buy this guitar. I think it's arrived, although I can't see it without my eyes. It has a decent sound, but it's just not for me, so I gave it to my grandma.

O' hooray! A great Fortune has been bestowed upon Humble and Pious bard Binky Bumblesprout. How generous our Creator! This glorious Lute of House Targaryen does greatly please Binky. Fore mere 35,000 of Silver Sheckles, Binky has acquired a Lute from which Great and Mysterious Magicks are derived!! Henceforth, Binky the Bard will serve not the despicable Tyrant Lord Baelthazaar, and instead Binky the Bard will travel lands of far spreading Whimsy and Cheer. Binky is first free Bumblesprout of One Thousand generations! Binky spanks his wee bum and howls with glee!!!!!!!!

It was very cheap. I got it for my 1 year old son and he loved it. He learned how to play every Slipknot song in one day and could shred pretty good. Its not the best quality, but it's great considering how cheap it is.

Why is this guitar so expensive

This is a collectors edition guitar and the price was decided by Fender.

I'm glad Fender is finally making TV series guitars. Do they expect to be doing F Troop or I Dream of Genie soon? Hopefully those would be less than 35 large...

    Open Reply - Beau
The Game of Thrones guitar is the only TV series guitar Fender has any plans on making at this time.

Did the Dragonscale paint help you to shred your own scales? Are talons needed to play this particular model? Will Emilia Clarke herself come to bare witness to your shred to the throne?

    Open Reply - Kenneth
The paint may or may not help depending on the player. Talons would be a hindrance - you should keep your nails cut short when playing stringed instruments. Daenerys Targaryen may have come to witness the common man shredding... until Jon got stabby.
