Fender Custom Shop Rory Gallagher Signature Stratocaster Electric Guitar 3-Color Sunburst
Description
The Fender Custom Shop Rory Gallagher Signature electric guitar authentically recreates the heavily worn 1961 Stratocaster that defined the late guitarist's iconic sound. Made in the USA, this premium instrument is built to the same specs as Gallagher's prized original, from its relic three-color Sunburst finish to its aged chrome hardware. Powered by three custom-wound 1960s single-coil pickups, it delivers the unmistakable vintage Strat tone that Gallagher built his career on. The fast-playing neck bears Gallagher's preferred profile and premium rosewood fingerboard.
Fast, Comfortable Neck Profile
The Rory Gallagher Signature Stratocaster features a custom neck profile modeled after Gallagher's 1961 Strat. This rounded, medium C shape feels fast and comfortable in the hand, facilitating complex chord voicings and searing lead lines. The premium rosewood fingerboard adds warmth and resonance. 21 vintage-size frets provide a familiar playing feel for Strat veterans.
Relic Finish and Hardware Provide Vintage Appeal
The Rory Gallagher Signature Stratocaster features a relic three-color Sunburst finish that replicates the worn-in appearance of Gallagher's 1961 original. Aged chrome hardware, including the synchronized tremolo bridge, completes the vintage vibe. These authentic touches give the guitar a played-in feel while preserving its collectible status.
Custom Pickups Produce Iconic Strat Tone
This signature Strat comes equipped with three custom-wound 1960s single-coil pickups that provide the warm, articulate tone Gallagher relied on. The neck and middle pickups deliver a smooth, balanced response, while the bridge pickup adds bite and definition for solos. Master tone controls for the neck and middle pickups let you fine-tune your tone.

Rory tone covered Jazz to Rock. One Strat to rule the mo

Bought 16 years ago(made in 2003).. I own 4 strats, all CS, and this the best! Resonate and just inspirational. Not many made. Probably the 2nd best Strat player ever played this guitar and it was painstakingly reproduced. Comes set up for slide and I lowered the strings as I have a light touch with the slide. Pick ups are unique replicas of Rory's and you can grab every tone he did, jazz to heavy! Neck is slightly thin but you feel every note and get great sustain and feedback. After years of giving mine began to twist and had it replaced. Buying CS from MF you have a life time relationship with CS! No charge! This alone is worth buying new from MF. Blues and rock are it's heritage and you are covered with the RG forever! Rory was a consummate devotee to tone and this guitar lost its paint in the rain after being stolen and tossed into a ditch. Once it dried out it sang and inspired and for me it still does.

I use this guitar for rehearsal and in live performance. It's versatile in tones and applications from Traditional Blues to Rock-a-Billy to Blues Rock to Rock - which covers 99% of what I play.
Rip off

I'm tired of being ripped off by Fender, Gibson when selling their so call 'custom shop' guitars. I played this at a local GC. Nice guitar but not close to being nice for the price. Myself and others in the store compared regular strats against this and some beat it while most went toe to toe with it. If you could play like Rory you most likely could make a Squire sound good. If you have the money or the ego to have something overpriced knock yourself out.

I was at the Nashville guitar show 4 years ago with the mindset on getting a mid-70's Les Paul. I brought along a 64 Mustang and a reissue Custom Shop Nocaster for trade bait. I narrowed my picks down to 3 Les Pauls. Sunday I went back to close the deal and saw this old looking Strat sitting in a booth and picked it up and plinked around a bit. This was the motherlode! It felt as though I'd played this guitar for years, neck was like butter. Next step, plug it in. Single coils were true to vintage stock and I was sold. Sure I had heard of Rory but never got into what guitar he used. Well it's my #1 over the last 4 years. Only a resonator has made it up on stage. It's got the feel, mojo and sound. What a beauty!!
