Fender Custom Shop

The Fender Custom Shop Brent Mason Telecaster brings all of the mojo of Mason's fabled studio guitar right to your hands. Master builder Kyle McMillin worked closely with the Grammy-winning session ace to painstakingly recreate every detail, from the custom finish down to the electronics. The result is a Telecaster loaded with that one-of-a-kind tone that made Mason an icon.

Relic Your Way to Vintage Appeal

Just like Mason's trusty companion, this Telecaster sports a primer-gray heavy relic finish riddled with wear marks, dings and smudges accumulated over decades of studio work. The quartersawn maple neck shows plenty of playing wear, too. Taken together, these elements let you tap into the classic vibe of a long-cherished guitar the moment you strap it on.

Diverse Tones With Special Seymour Duncans

To match the tonal flexibility Brent relies on in the studio, this Telecaster packs a trifecta of custom Seymour Duncan pickups. The mini humbucker in the neck delivers warm, rounded tones, while the hot stack single-coil in the middle provides increased output and midrange punch. An old-school stacked single-coil bridge pickup handles searing Tele twang. With the push/pull pot, you can deactivate the middle pickup for more traditional Tele sounds.

Take a B-Bender to New Heights

No Brent Mason signature model would be complete without the B-Bender system that allows Mason to conjure pedal steel-like tones at will. Activate it with a pull of the strap and prepare to emulate steel licks and craft otherworldly bends that no ordinary Tele could achieve.

Built for Comfort and Playability

Several features that defined the feel of Mason's guitar also grace this signature model. The '67 C-shape neck profile and 7.25" fingerboard radius provide a smooth, vintage-style playing feel. The quartersawn maple neck and fingerboard impart resonant, focused tone with each note. Vintage-tall frets make it easy to bend strings without choking out.

Get your hands on the one-of-a-kind tone that made Brent Mason a studio legend. With the painstaking attention to detail lavished on it by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Kyle McMillin, the Brent Mason Telecaster provides an incredibly accurate recreation ready to inspire your own signature sound.
