Description
The Fender Custom Shop ’61 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Rosewood electric guitar combines vintage tone, meticulously chosen appointments and hand-wound pickups for a top-of-the-line playing experience. It features a 2-piece select alder body with a lacquer finish and a quartersawn maple neck. The 1-piece flat-lam rosewood fingerboard is topped with 21 narrow-tall frets and vintage-style clay dot inlays. Its sound is driven by a trio of Custom Shop hand-wound Texas Special single-coil Strat pickups, with the classic Strat volume and tone controls plus a 5-way pickup switch. Additional appointments to the ’61 Stratocaster Heavy Relic include vintage-style tuners, a bone nut, Custom Shop Vintage Synchronized Tremolo bridge with bent steel saddles, and chrome/nickel hardware. Comes with a deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.

    Mine has the Texas Special Custom Shop pickups. This does have SRV sound and more, and the vibe is pretty cool. Not for everyone, though, I get that. Neck is dark rosewood and really comfortable. Perfectly set up from factory. No buzz, perfect intonation. FCS knows what it is doing.
