The EVANS Heavyweight Reverse Dot Snare drum head 13" is a workhorse snare drum head designed for drummers with an aggressive playing style. Made of two 10-mil plies, this drum head offers exceptional durability while maintaining a wide dynamic range and focused attack. The thicker 20-mil reverse dot patch in the center of the drum head provides extra durability where drummers typically strike the hardest, allowing for heavier hits without choking out the drum head. EVANS' Level 360 technology creates an even playing surface across the entire drumhead for ease of tuning, improved pitch range, and optimized tone.

Built to Withstand Heavy-Handed Playing

With two 10-mil plies and a 20-mil reverse dot patch, the EVANS Heavyweight Reverse Dot snare drum head 13" is designed to handle aggressive drumming styles. The thicker patch prevents the drum head from choking out under heavy hits in the center, enabling wider dynamics. This added durability ensures a long-lasting drum head that can keep up with intense playing.

Focused Attack and Short Sustain

The EVANS Heavyweight Reverse Dot snare drum head 13" provides a focused attack with a compressed, semi-bright tone and short sustain. The reverse dot patch concentrates the initial strike for an articulated punch, while the overall muffled quality of the double-ply drum head dampens overtones and excess ring for a controlled snare drum sound suited to rock and metal music.

Superior Tuning and Tone

With Evans' Level 360 technology, the playing surface remains flat and even, enabling drummers to tune the drum to a wide pitch range and achieve an optimized tone. The vertical collar design also ensures even contact between the drum head and drum shell for the highest quality sound. These design elements allow drummers to dial in their precise desired snare drum tone with ease.

A Snare Drumhead for Every Drummer

Whether you're looking for extra durability, a versatile and focused tone, superior tuning, or all of the above, the EVANS Heavyweight Reverse Dot snare drum head 13" has something to offer drummers of all styles. Add depth, articulation and attitude to your snare drum sound with this innovative drumhead.

Wasn't too sure, but I like it

When I purchased this Evans Heavyweight Reverse Dot Snare drum head I didn't know if I was going to like it. When I got home and put it on I felt like it had a good sound. I also like that I can beat the heck out of it and not feel like it's going to be destroyed after a week. I might prefer to not go with the heavyweight option so I don't feel like I have to hit harder, but I sort of feel like I do to get the sound I'm going for which is why I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a heavyweight snare head, but not for a light beater. #sweepstakes

I'm bad about breaking snare heads and this head is perfect! I like having it cranked and I unfortunately do a lot of Roger Taylor (Queen) styled rimshots while playing and most heads won't last but so far this one is beating them by months!

This is the best quality snare drum beater head I've used. When the sound man at the local club complements your snare sound, it reflects back on the heads that are used. I have one installed on each of my active snare drums.
