EVANS Genera G2 Clear Bass Drum Head 22 in.

I usually get the Remo pinstripe or clear Emperor for my DW 22" kick, but I like the Evans heads for the snare and toms well enough that I thought I'd try the bass drum head this time. Price was also reasonable, that always helps. I bought the clear version. I keep my batter side tuned low, almost slappy, and the resonating front head up about two whole steps in tone from there. When I put the Evans on, I noticed the head gave the drum a nice deep growling sound. I didn't necessarily love it right away, but it didn't take long to grow on me. And as the description above states, you also get a wide open sound, as if you have no muffling on the drum. Overall I would say great product and I'd definitely buy again.
