Potentially my new go to

I play a mix of styles that benefit from the flat wound low string sounds but I still need bendable 1st-3rd strings that can pull off a rock n roll sound. These fit the bill. I've had them on my Gretsch for a few months now. As another reviewer said, they start out sticky. This is unlike most other flat wounds such as D'addario or Thomastik. However, rub a little fast fret on and get some hand oils in there (play the thing!) and they will smooth out and become very comfortable pretty quickly. I haven't broken any yet, and they suit many sounds/styles.

If you expect a smooth sliding across the strings as all the flat wound strings normally do, don´t try these...The feeling is terrible and they are super sticky. I am gonna remove them right away.

Finally some EB flatwounds for guitar! These are cobalts and I see they are also making stainless steel flatwounds too, I will see how long these last. No one else makes cobalt flatwounds so these are unique, good job Ernie Ball.
