Ernie Ball
Description

The Ernie Ball 3223 Nickel Super Slinky Electric Guitar Strings 3-Pack are nickel-wound strings that are precision-manufactured to Ernie Ball's exacting standards for balanced tone and long-lasting performance. The Super Slinky set is one of Ernie Ball's original gauges, beloved by legends like Jimmy Page, Angus Young, and Steve Vai for their versatility and punch. Now available in three-packs for maximum convenience, the 3223 strings are ready to electrify your playing.

Nickel-Plated Steel Provides Versatile Tone

The 3223 strings are made of nickel-plated steel wound over a tin-plated hex-shaped steel core. This combination yields a balanced tone with crisp highs, rich mids, and tight lows that work for any genre. The nickel plating also helps reduce string squeak and enhances tuning stability. With a bright yet warm voice, the 3223 set inspires confident soloing, chunky rhythms, and everything in between.

Precision-Engineered for Flawless Intonation and Playability

As pioneers of rock guitar strings, Ernie Ball is obsessive about quality. They manufacture the 3223 strings to incredibly tight tolerances, ensuring consistent gauge, tension, and intonation. The result is strings that are perfectly balanced from string to string and set to set. This precision also provides silky-smooth playability right out of the pack, with minimal string noise as you slide and bend. The 3223s make every nuance of your playing technique shine through.

Convenient Three-Pack for Efficiency

The 3223 Nickel Super Slinky Electric Guitar Strings are now available in three-packs containing three individual sets. This allows you to keep extra sets on hand so you're never caught with a dull or broken string right before a gig or recording session. Each set is packaged in Ernie Ball's patented element-shield packaging to lock in freshness and prevent corrosion until you're ready to put on a new set. With the 3-pack, you'll always have a crisp, rich-sounding set of 3223 strings ready to go.

Worth the money.

I bought these and few other types of strings trying to figure out what was the best "fit" for me. I had some DR Black Beauties and they looked cool and all but don't hold a note, they go from in tune to flat to in tune back to flat. These strings have a much better sound than those did and keep a tune much better(and for only half the price). As advertised these are "super slinky" a little more than I would like and more than other strings of the same size.

Don't like Ernie Ball strings

My personal experience with all Ernie Ball strings They corrode really fast. I only play the guitar at home. I don't gig. I don't go anywhere and these guitar strings do not last.

I've been using Super Slinky for my bass for 11 years now. Especially on my StingRay. I mainly them in drop D tuning. It has that heavy crunchy sound for metal with a pick. At the same time, it has that thump for hard rock with fingers.

I love these strings. When I first bought them I was wondering how long it would take to crode, it's been 1 year and they are still holding strong. I know I should probably replace them, bit they did last a long time and I would recommend to anyone.

No, we don't have a set with a 64. 56 would be the largest.
