Ernie Ball M Steel

M-Steel Skinny Top Heavy Bottom Slinky Strings are the perfect hybrid set for those who like thick bottom strings without sacrificing the ability to solo on smaller strings. Ernie Ball's M-Steel strings are made of M-Steel, short for Maraging Steel, is a superalloy used in high stress applications for the aerospace and defense industries.
The wound strings are comprised of a patented Super Cobalt alloy wrapped around a Maraging steel hex core wire, producing a richer and fuller tone with powerful low end response. M-Steel plain strings are comprised of a specially tempered steel for maximum fatigue resistance. A patented winding of steel around the ball end of the plain strings reduces slippage, breakage and stays in tune better than conventional plain strings.

- Ultra high output guitar strings
- Constructed of Maraging Steel
- Super Cobalt alloy wrapped around a Maraging Steel hex core wire
- Provides maximum fatigue resistance
- Thick bottom strings with thin top strings for balance

Superb Tone!
Tone freaks look no further! Ernie Ball's M-Steels are the definition of "tone". When running through a Matchless HC30 and Vox AC30HWH you won't settle or compromise for less when the topic is "Superb Tone"; trust me. After 24hours of play It is safe to say that these strings are of the highest quality build with rich harmonics and phenomenal sustain. Compared to the regular Ernie Balls these feel thicker, due to construct, and easier to press against the fingerboard for sweeps throughout the neck if thats your thing. Quick tip: wrap as much string as you can on the machine heads for the best string resonance, sonic dynamics, and intonation.

So these strings sound good. No doubt about the tone but these are the first strings I ever used that actually feel like metal. I had to slap some fast feet on there just to prevent them from grinding down the frets. They feel a little more abrasive than any other strings I've used which is ironic because we've guitar they went on, is for metal and hard rock only. In that regard, they sound amazing and pinch harmonics tend to be solid and on your face. Think Skid Row.

Sounds great, lasts a long time, but sometimes they break when restringing the guitar, so ya gotta get strings out of a full set.

these strings are amazing. they have excellent tone and sustain and they definitely carry the sound better. I had to turn my amp down from where I had it before to have the same noise level (but turned it back up) I have Rocksmith 2014 for ps3 and it solved all the problems of the game picking up the notes I had been playing, a very frustrating problem. ive had the strings for 3 weeks now and I play pretty hard and haven't had to retune but maybe once besides changing tunes, I play everything from standard clear down to drop Cb, and it never loses tune or tone. id give these strings 10 stars out of 5 if I could
