Description
Ernie Ball 2735 Cobalt Extra Slinky Electric Bass Strings are round-wound for maximum clarity and serious punch. The Cobalt Series is clearly an improvement on its classic nickel-wound counterpart giving the player increased sustain, clarity and output. In addition, they resist sweat and moisture better and have unmatched flexibility when compared to other nickel wound strings. Cobalt is the most magnetically active string alloy on the planet and attracts the magnets in your pickups more than any other string.

Generally you trade off tone and volume for ease of play when using light strings. The Cobalt's have a very well defined tone, not overly bright, but a good mid bite. I find I have to do a little less muting with these strings. These strings add a bit of volume compared to other brands. They feel good, and sound good. I think I like a heavier gauge, but I am very happy with these strings overall.
