Made of a revolutionary cobalt alloy, these strings provide guitarists with unprecedented power, clarity and sustain. The cobalt blend is highly magnetically active, delivering up to 40% more output than traditional nickel-plated steel strings. The result is beefy yet defined lows, rich mids, crisp highs and harmonic overtones that soar.

Unparalleled Clarity and Punch

Cobalt Super Slinky strings are precision engineered to maximize clarity, dynamics and punch. The cobalt alloy provides a stronger magnetic relationship with pickups, enabling an extended dynamic range, incredible harmonic response and serious low-end. These strings make each note ring out with bell-like clarity from the first fret to the last.

Buttery Playability

While Cobalt Super Slinky strings are built for power, they are also incredibly pliable under the fingers. The cobalt blend results in a silky, flexible string that allows for faster playing and effortless bends. Guitarists will notice a smooth, fluid feel whether performing intricate solos, chunky rhythm parts or anything in between.

Longer-Lasting and Corrosion Resistant

Cobalt Super Slinky strings are not only highly responsive, but also long-lasting. The cobalt alloy is more resistant to moisture, sweat and corrosion than traditional nickel-plated steel. As a result, these strings maintain tone and playability for a remarkably long time. For guitarists seeking the ultimate in sound, feel and durability, Cobalt Super Slinky strings are a premium choice.

Love them

These strings feel great under my fingers and they make my strat just ring out WAY better than they did with D'addarios. The guitar is louder with better response and I love it. As I've said before, there is not really a better when it comes to guitar players. It's ALL opinion based.

Too rough for my fingers

I was talked into trying these strings instead of the normal strings I used because I wanted to expand my horizons.. The guy at my guitar center told me that they would bite harder and give me a better tone and more vibrant sound. So excited as I was I strung these puppies up tuned and started to play and within 10 minutes felt like I wanted to take them off and return them. I personally don't like the feel on my fingers. If you move up and down the fret board a lot prepare to feel as if your fingers are grinding on sandpaper and have a "stuck" feeling. Being as how they are one of the more expensive strings I was disappointed because I expected more but luckily have found a better string to play with.

I have tried every brand of strings out there over the past 35 years. These are the best. They last a good long time, and sound excellent.

I used it on all my guitars, sounds harmonically better. It last longer than the string I used too use and the strings don't corrode that easily, I haven't changed the strings for years and still haven't replaced them on any of my guitars yet.

I've already ordered three more sets of these cobalts. The magic is in the wound strings, enriching chords and sweetening bottom end. The feel is more buttery and smooth, and the sound is more boutique-ish and visceral. I am a decades-long pro and these are (for me) the best strings I have ever used. Home run.
