Description
The Ernie Ball 2722 Cobalt Hybrid Slinky Electric Guitar Strings are a revolutionary set of strings that provide guitarists an unparalleled playing experience. Constructed from an alloy of cobalt and iron, these strings offer a stronger magnetic relationship with pickups than traditional nickel-wound strings. The result is a wider dynamic range, fuller low end, clearer highs, and improved harmonic response.
Cobalt Construction Provides Powerful Tone
The Ernie Ball 2722 strings are part of the brand's Cobalt series, composed of an alloy of cobalt and iron that produces a more powerful tone than standard nickel-wound strings. The cobalt attracts pickups more strongly, which translates into higher output, beefier bass, focused mids, crisp treble, and sustain that seems to last for days. The tone is modern and muscular, perfect for players seeking a contemporary rock and metal sound.
Hybrid Gage Set Provides Versatility
As a hybrid set, the 2722 combines the popular Super Slinky and Regular Slinky gauges, with lighter strings on the higher strings for ease of bending and heavier strings on the lower strings for fullness. The set contains gauges from .009 to .046, providing a balance of flexibility and power. The hybrid configuration suits guitarists who play in a range of styles, from shredding solos to rumbling rhythm parts.
Built to Last
Like all Ernie Ball strings, the 2722 Cobalt Hybrid Slinky set is precision manufactured in the U. . to the highest standards. The strings are designed and tested to provide long life, tuning stability, and consistent tone. The cobalt wrapping is more resistant to moisture and acidity from sweat than nickel, helping the strings stay fresh longer. For players who want power, clarity and durability, the 2722 set is an ideal choice.

The strings are amazing! They are brighter, they punchier, and getting a lot more output from these Duncan design (cheaper Seymour Duncan) Hubacher's on my Jackson. I would recommend these strings to anyone. #sweepstakes

Ernie ball as far as what I've tried is and has been my absolute favorite and go to strings for a few years now. Own 21 guitars and every one of them has Ernie balls on them.. I've tried tons of different strings but my fingers just love the Ernie's over all the other well known ones
Can't go wrong with Ernie Ball

My son is just learning to play and we swapped out the factory strings with these. He's more than happy.
I might buy this product again, but...

On my Squire 70's Strat the wound strings have a much different tone than the G, B and high E, almost like a different instrument. Interesting, fun to play with, but when I want a really uniform sound it is difficult.
I would by this item again
