Ernie Ball: String Alloys - Acoustic Earthwood Phosphor Bronze

Ernie Ball's legendary phosphor bronze formula provides acoustic musicians with a concert-quality tone that is rich, resonant and balanced. The Ernie Ball 2150 strings are crafted phosphorus wrapped around a brass-plated hex-shaped steel core. This unique blend produces a mellow tone with crisp clarity and full-bodied depth ideal for any acoustic genre. Guitar players of all skill levels will appreciate the familiar feel and versatile sound of these strings.
Warmth and Sparkle Through Innovative Alloy
Ernie Ball pioneered the use of phosphor bronze for acoustic strings over 50 years ago. This proprietary alloy provides the warmth of 80/20 bronze with added clarity and sparkle. The phosphor bronze wrap wire enhances each note's harmonics, resulting in a balanced tone that rings out with gorgeous overtones. Chords sound lush and resonant while single notes have a singing quality. The brass-plated steel hex core adds strength and sustain for a dynamic performance.
Light Gage For Effortless Playability
With gauges ranging from .010 to .050, the Ernie Ball 2150 strings have an extra light gauge that facilitates intricate fingerpicking and swift chord changes. The slinky feel and reduced string tension make these strings ideal for beginners, those with smaller hands or any player seeking a lightweight, flexible string. The delicate gauge accentuates the tonal nuances of any fine acoustic instrument.
Lasting Freshness and Longevity
All Ernie Ball strings are hermetically sealed to lock in freshness and prevent oxidation. The Ernie Ball 2150 strings will sound as new as the day they were made for up to 5 times longer than conventional strings. With proper care and maintenance, you can expect these long-lasting strings to provide a clear, bright tone for months on end. The Ernie Ball 2150 Earthwood Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings deliver signature tone and playability built to stand the test of time.
