Ernie Ball: String Alloys - Acoustic Earthwood 80/20 Bronze

Description
Crafted from 80% copper and 20% zinc wire, wrapped around a hex-shaped tin-plated steel core, the Ernie Ball 2002 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze medium acoustic guitar strings provide a balanced tone. The 80/20 bronze alloy delivers a blend of warmth and crispness, with an emphasis on rich lows and clear highs. All Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to exacting standards, ensuring optimum performance, consistency, and longevity.
80/20 Bronze for a Perfect Acoustic Blend
The 80/20 bronze wrap allows the 2002 Earthwood strings to evenly highlight the low, mid and high frequencies of your acoustic guitar. The slight scoop in the midrange provides clarity while still retaining warmth, making the Ernie Ball 2002 Earthwood strings suited for a variety of musical styles.
Hex Core for Resistance and Sustain
At the center of the 2002 Earthwood strings is a hex-shaped tin-plated steel core wire that provides stability and maximizes sustain. The tin plating prevents corrosion while the hex core adds mass to the string for enhanced volume and note definition. The combination of the 80/20 bronze wrap and hex core results in strings that sing with gorgeous overtones.
Precision and Longevity
All Ernie Ball strings are manufactured to the highest standards using state-of-the-art machinery and processes. String gages and alloys are carefully calibrated to produce a consistent feel and tone. The 2002 Earthwood strings are built to last, providing weeks of playing time before needing a change. When it's time for a new set, you can rely on the same renowned Ernie Ball quality and craftsmanship.
A String for Every Acoustic
With gages ranging from .013 to .056, the 2002 Earthwood set has a string for every acoustic guitar. The medium gauges—.013, .017, .026, .036, .046, .056—are a versatile choice for most standard acoustics. For extra brightness, the light set may be preferable. Heavier gages are also available for lower tunings. No matter your acoustic or playing style, Ernie Ball has a string set to suit your needs.

Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings
I have been playing acoustic guitars for 40 years and my choice by far is Earthwood acoustic Guitar strings I play medium gauge as a personal preferance ,They are always the same sound as many years as I have played these strings have kept there cler and bright sound and last as long as any coated string that I have ever tryed and I have tryed them all but always end up with a set of earthwoods back on my acoustic guitar. I play mostley Martin and when given the questionare by Martin on what strings I intend to use n my Martins I proudly write Earthwood . try a pair for yourslf you will not be disapointed .

Earthwood Guitar Strings
Replaced my brand name coated strings with these Earthwoods today for a change, and wish I never did. Not the bright "new string" sound I usually expect when I throw on a new set, disappointing since I am a Ernie Ball fan. Sticking with coated on the acoustic for now on that's for sure.

Just restrung my acoustic, don't even know how old the strings were, and these sound fantastic. Bright, clear and comfortable to play. Never used bronze before but I do like the sound.
Good sound but a bit of a fight

I have an old mahogany Ibanez acoustic given to me by my son. It needed some work to get it in decent playing condition: trust rod adjustment, bridge piece sanded to lower the action, cleaning and of course, new strings. Having been a professional musician for 56 years and having played mostly fusion, jazz, rock and R&B, I rarely played an acoustic guitar. I initially put Ernie Ball 10's on my Ibanez. But found they were far too light. So, I tried these EB 13's. I found the sound to be clear, bright and powerful. Very good acoustic strings for the price. My only complaint, and perhaps it's the fault of my inexpensive guitar and my 'fusion and jazz style of playing', is that these 13's are a 'bit of a fight' to play. Very good strings at a decent price. (PS, I should note that the G string did break upon tuning approximately one month of use).

I use them on my vintage Fender acoustic-electric. The wound strings deliver a great bass punch that helps with bass lines on my finger picking tunes. I'll see how they stand up to the salt and humidity on the Texas Gulf Coast.
