collapse expand iconDescription

The Ernie Ball Music Man Kaizen 7-string electric guitar is a bold new creation born from the collaboration between Ernie Ball Music Man and renowned guitarist Tosin Abasi. Built to push the boundaries of what a modern 7-string guitar can do, the Kaizen is crafted with forward-thinking design elements that enhance both playability and performance. The contoured alder body, roasted figured maple neck, and multi-scale ebony fretboard with an “infinity radius” offer a sleek, ergonomic playing experience that matches Tosin Abasi’s innovative approach to guitar design.

Music Man HT Pickups for Dynamic, 7-String Power

The Kaizen 7-string features a Music Man HT bridge humbucker and a custom offset neck humbucker, delivering the dynamic range and clarity needed for modern progressive music. The 3-way switch with a custom middle position allows for versatile tonal options, from searing high-gain leads to clean, articulate lows. Whether you’re playing complex rhythms or intricate solos, this guitar provides the tonal flexibility to meet the demands of any musical style.

Multi-Scale "Infinity Radius" Fretboard for Enhanced Playability

The multi-scale length fretboard on the Kaizen 7-string is designed with Tosin Abasi’s signature “infinity radius,” providing improved visibility and ergonomic comfort during performance. The roasted figured maple neck and ebony fretboard deliver a fast, smooth playing surface, while the contoured body ensures long-lasting comfort. With 24 medium jumbo frets, this guitar offers the perfect balance between technical precision and expressive playability.

Built for Players Who Demand Innovation and Precision

The Kaizen 7-string is designed for guitarists who need precision, versatility, and cutting-edge design. The Music Man tremolo system provides smooth, reliable tremolo action, while the Steinberger gearless tuners ensure rock-solid tuning stability. From technical progressive playing to heavy low-end chugging, this guitar is built to keep up with the modern player’s demands. Each Kaizen comes with a G&G hardshell case for ultimate protection.

I've tried many seven string guitars, including other Music Man guitars, Ibanez, and Mayones. This is definitely one of the best. It plays very nicely, sounds good, and there are virtually no flaws in its construction. It's definitely an amalgamation of ideas. Like if a Firebird and the Albert Lee signature had a baby together. One important note is that the trem bridge is flat on the body, and not floating. So you can change the tuning very easily and not have to worry about the springs. You can add the other springs to the back if you want to reduce tension on the others if you intend to downtune. But that's the only recommendation I'd make. If I could find one flaw, the electronics are actually pretty barebones compared to other Music Man guitars in this price range. No boosts, 3 way switch, the only split is the middle position and it's always on, and I'm not sure you could change the neck pickup without some serious surgery. So you better like the way everything sounds (it sounds pretty awesome though). With that said, because it doesn't have any of those features, it's also a totally passive guitar. So if you want a high end Music Man but don't want to worry about batteries, this is definitely the guitar for you. Overall, I definitely recommend this guitar. I traded some older guitars for it after I saw the new finishes, and did not pay full price as a result. But this is an expensive guitar. So there's your asterisk. But it is very much worth it.

I want to purchase a Indigo Blue Kaizen 7 string immediately but I was working with several vendors on a price I can live with. I can afford $3200 for the guitar and I can purchase it immediately. Can you do this price?
