Best I have played with in this price range, loads of tones
I am not a guitar player, I play with a guitar. But I have had a few different decent guitars over the years I was really impressed by how easy this is to move up and down the neck, the pick ups have great sound, and it has a huge range of tones thanks to split coils and out of phase option. The tone options were the reason I picked This SG. I couldn't find the same range of tone options on any other guitar in this price range , with the exception of another that had active pick ups , which I didn't want. It has a great sound for clean and good old fashioned rock and roll of all genre's. And I am sure to could crank out some pretty decent shred tones if you really wanted. The colors for the Muse are are very vivid and it is definitely an eye catcher. Does it play like a $2000.00 guitar ? I don't know, I can't afford to play a $2000.00 dollar guitar, if I could I probably would have bought one instead, but it is the best playing guitar I have ever played in it's price range. If you're thinking about getting one, get your hands on one and give it a try, I'm pretty sure you'll love it. The only issue I have found so far is that I get a little fret buzz on the low E , But I have never touched it for the way the neck and bridge were set up either, and again, could just be my poor skill's.

Traded it in for a Fender
I really wanted to love this guitar. It's so pretty I love the color- light green , and the SG style is my favorite. I guess it wasn't set up right tho. It didn't sound good, the strings were too high....the high E string would slide off the fret board when I pressed on it!!!! The action was not so great. I took it to my local music store and paid $40 for them to fix it and it still was crappy. It's too bad. I traded it for a Fender Player... I had to add more money.

I bought a barely used muse for my first guitar, and I absolutely love it. Paired with my amp- it sounds wonderful, and the quality of the sound matches as well. not to mention the color selection deserves its own round of applause.
String slips, otherwise I love this guitar.

High E string slips off the neck when playing melodies. I hope it is something I will get used to. Also, the strings could be slightly closer to the neck/fret. Otherwise, I really love this guitar. The green is so pretty.

Great guitar at a great price. I bought the scarlett red model and i loved it so much I bought a second one in the purple finish. No need to waste money on a Gibson- these are made better!

I would really like to know how much the epiphone muse weighs. Weight is a very important factor to me as I have a bad back. John Henry
The shipping weight is 9.5 lbs, so it should weigh approximately 7 or 8 lbs.submitted4 years ago

How much does the SG muse weigh?
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be approximately 7 lbssubmitted4 years ago
