Like many models in the new Inspired by Gibson Collection, the Epiphone SG Classic Worn features a '60s SlimTaper neck. With a mahogany construction, the shape of the neck makes this guitar comfortable, and fast, to play. It’s capped with an Indian laurel fingerboard and faux ivory tuning knobs that add to the vintage look of the Epiphone SG Classic.Powered by P-90-PROs
With the original Gibson design in mind, the Epiphone SG Classic Worn was designed with a pair of P-90-PROs soap bar single-coil pickups. They deliver the full and reactive attitude players would expect from the classic Gibson model. Epiphone’s legendary P-90-PRO single-coil pickups were first produced in the early 1950s. They produce a raw powerful tone that helped define the blues and rock and roll in their formative years. Now, the P-90s’ traditional combination of high output and brilliant tone continues to be a favorite among many top musicians.Premium Hardware
The Epiphone SG Classic Worn is complete with a stopbar tailpiece, LockTone ABR bridge and Epiphone Deluxe tuners with ivory buttons for precise and dependable tuning stability. Adding more punch to the Epiphone Firebird is its upgraded features, included Grover Mini tuning machines with an 18:1 ratio for precise and dependable tuning stability. The hardware is finished in a nickel coating.Additional features of the Epiphone SG Classic Worn include dot inlays, a Graph Tech nut, black top hat knobs with nickel inserts and the classic black "batwing" pickguard.

Nice Guitar for Nice Price

Guitar needed extensive set-up; fret ends, nut cut, high action, intonation way off. No surprize at this price. I like the neck profile and the raw wood feels great. Tuners work well. The pu's sound sweet clean and growl nicely with mild overdrive but they become muddy if you push it too far. Not all examples will have that nicely matched color, mine has upper half darker due to wood underneath. Good enough platform to warrant aftermarket pu's if you want. Large strap buttons don't accommodate locking straps like D'Addario well. Decent player.
Good player for this price.

I needed a bare bones SG and after upgrading to KRG-3-N KLUSON® REVOLUTION tuners in nicklel finish, I have a very nice sounding SG that stays in tune. Thinking about a Mini humbucker upgrade next with split coils next.

I got the red one. Finish is beautiful, had no imperfections of any kind. Understand these are P90 pickups which can have a LOT of hum noise when adding too much gain, depending on your setup/conditions where you play. Love the unique tone the P90s have vs single coils and humbuckers. Out of the box, sounded good with no fret buzz but was definitely not set up. Intonation was way off. Plan on either setting this guitar up yourself or have it done when you buy it. For the money, you are getting a solid guitar with good hardware. Stays in tune, no complaints there.

Since the p90's are not described as humbuckers, do they hum like other single coils (Tele's, etc...)
