Nice guitar for the money
I ordered this guitar without having ever seen one...I was curious. I picked it up at the store seven days later. Out of the box at the store it looked great and was correctly set up. It weighs right at 7.5 pounds. I didn't care for the strings it came with and changed them for a set that I like. While I had the strings off I taped up the fingerboard and polished the frets with light automotive compound. The frets were okay but I prefer them polished. By the way, the fingerboard is rosewood as opposed to the baked maple that Gibson is offering these days. I did not make any other adjustments to the factory set-up. The pickups are fine, the coil tap option is something I had not experienced previously and I was surprised that the humbuckers when tapped did not sound thin or weak...nice feature. I took it on a gig and used it for a few songs, it played and sounded great. This would be a good deal at twice the price.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND
After waiting @ 4- 5 weeks (back ordered) I received the FIRST one. It looked nice, played well and I was happy. Although, the first night on a gig (under lights) I noticed that the neck had a fine crack in it next to the headstock. Therefore, (having waited so long for the FIRST guitar) and because it was "in stock" on GC's website, I immediately ordered a replacement guitar. After a few days of not getting a order confirmation from GC I tried contacting GC via live chat. I was repeatedly told that it would "ship today" (I was told this 2-3 times in a 2-3 day period). So, I called the website# and again was told that "it would ship today". Well, it didn't. Apparently the warehouse didn't have any in stock so it was shipped out of a store somewhere. I had it shipped to my local GC (to be sure it was OK and to return the FIRST defective guitar). The GC rep opened the box and the neck was completely broken off of the SECOND guitar. We where all blown away EXCEPT another guy that worked at GC. He said that he's seen several (3-4) of this same model with the same neck issue. Sounds like an Epiphone design issue. SO, after all of this pain, the GC service manager (Aaron) was VERY COOL and because of all the hassle he gave me a good deal on a Dot 335 that he had in stock. I played it before the deal was made and it plays and sounds MUCH better than the ES 335 Limited Edition Pro. Moral of this story is "don't waste your dough on the Pro.

I've had this product for over a year now. At first, I wasn't so sure. It was my second guitar and one of my friends recommended it to me. It was a pretty mid range price so I wasn't expecting it to be AMAZING. But man was I wrong. It picks up everything so well. The tone is fantastic. It's a blast to jam out on. 5 stars and would definitely recommend to a friend
Yes, I would purchase product again.

Great Guitar. Needed set up as I figured It would. Recut the nut as it wasn't deep enough and fretted notes went sharp in the first 3 frets, set the pick up height as it was incredibly unbalanced. Oiled the fret board, it was dry as a bone. After all that, she's good to go. Do not expect this to be set up out of the box.
Great Deal..

Which guitar is better for jazz: the Epiphone Limited Edition ES-335 PRO Electric Guitar or the Gretsch Streamliner G2420T-P90 Limited Edition?
Either one of these models would work well for playing jazz music. It is mainly a matter of personal preference.submitted7 years ago
