Epiphone Les Paul Modern Electric Guitar Faded Pelham Blue

Description
Epiphone's Les Paul Modern electric guitar brings a vintage icon into the 21st century. Part of Epiphone's "Inspired by Gibson" collection, the Les Paul Modern has a bound maple top, mahogany body and trapezoid fingerboard inlays for timeless style. But a contoured heel, weight relief, coil taps and phase controls make this Les Paul a choice pick for players who want advanced features in an affordable, ergonomic instrument.
Contoured Heel and Asymmetrical Neck Profile Enable Comfort and Speed
The Les Paul Modern's mahogany neck has a contoured heel, allowing easier access to higher frets. Its asymmetrical SlimTaper profile feels rounded behind bass strings for warmth; the treble side flattens out for faster playing. This ergonomic design reduces hand fatigue for long practice sessions and performances.
ProBuckers and Advanced Controls Provide Tonal Versatility
Epiphone's ProBuckers have impressed even the most discerning tone connoisseurs. Their vintage-inspired sound complements the Les Paul Modern's resonant wood. Coil-splitting taps each pickup for single-coil tones, while phase switching creates a "hollowed-out" sound. A treble-bleed circuit maintains high-end clarity when adjusting volume.
Grover Locking Rotomatic Tuners Keep the Les Paul Modern in Tune
Grover Rotomatic tuners are an industry standard for precision and durability. Their 18:1 gear ratio provides unparalleled tuning stability for the Les Paul Modern. Locking tuners also make string changes fast and frustration-free. From the tuners down, Epiphone designed the Les Paul Modern for performance.

BEATIFUL!!!!
This guitar is truly perfect. When I got this guitar, I compared it to a $4,000 Gibson Les paul custom. The custom sounded great, but this modern played like a million bucks. This modern sounded excellent. The sparkling burgundy color goes remarkably well with the mahogany wood body. Supposedly they tried hollowing this guitar out. They did not chamber it, though, which is good. They used the swiss hole technique, which is where they cut some holes in the body to relieve the wait. Chambering is where it is almost entirely hollow. Even though this guitar is weight relief, it is still pretty heavy. I personally like heavy guitars because they will sustain notes longer when you strum. With the push-pull knobs, you can go from a deep Gibson lush sound to a tangy fender sound. You can cover all genres musically. For the price of the guitar, you are getting a lot more than you would expect. I love how the neck goes from thick to thin. It will fit your hand perfectly. One suggestion is to rub the frets with almond oil every time you change the strings. The almond oil will hydrate the frets, revive the color, and keep the frets from corroding. The lock-in tuners are pretty cool. I plan to change them to vintage tuners. But not because they are bad, I just prefer vintage tuners. The lock-in tuners work great and are of fantastic quality, just like the rest of this guitar. This is just a luxurious guitar. No matter what amp you play, it sounds like gold. Moreover, no matter how you play, it makes you sound ten times better with these humbucker pick-ups.

Play it before you buy it.
I have been waiting to try these for a long time, finally got the chance today. I played 2, the Sparkling Burgandy and the fades Pelham blue. First, the Pelham blue. Only complaint was the frets. Sharp ends and scratchy when you bend. With a good fret polish and an end dress, this will be a sweet guitar. Now, the Burgandy. Sharp fret ends, buzzing and fretting out due to high frets. it also had a very noticeable crooked tuner. I was very disappointed by these guitars. I bought an inspired by Gibson 50s' Les Paul and a Les Paul Custom recently, and both are great, no fret issues at all.

Good Not Great

As a builder and Player this is about 65-70 of a Gibson. The woods are NOT the same. Multi piece and not same quality. The pickups are ok...Nothing special but not horrible. Fit and finish is really nice. Frets ok, need some attention. It looks like one but the quality of the woods and finish is what makes it muddy and not the same as the Gibson version. A workhorse that does not have a good re-sale. You can get these used for 350-425. Overall its still a playable instrument that should stand on its own.
Like a real Les Paul - but without the added weight

The ebony fingerboard is super smooth. No rough fret edges. The contoured heel in the neck feels great - all les pauls should have this. Stays in tune well, the Faded Pelham Blue looks great indoors and outdoors in the sunlight. I changed out the 4 clear plastic control knobs for "witch hat style" knobs and added the rhythm/treble switch plate.

I just started playing about 4 months ago. And this is my second Epiphone I've purchased. I liked the first one but love this one. My friend who is a die hard Gibson guy loves to play this guitar.

The guitar looks and sounds great! The finish is really good on this one. I like the self locking tuners. This would have been a five star review, but…. I gave it 3 stars because the guitar was not playable when I got it. The neck relief was terrible along with frets that needed to be polished. The strings sounded tinny, they buzzed and may have been 9 gauge. They felt very thin. After fixing these problems the guitar feels good, sounds good and I'm happy with it.

I am literally in love with her and my wife knows I love her and I don't care. I cry sometimes when I listen to Dire Straits "Sultans of Swing" because I know Christina wants to "cry and sing". I let my band mate play her once and I felt so bad, my guitar didn't want me to touch her for two days until we talked about it. I told my friend the next time I saw him never again. Christina was with me recently for the birth of my third son. I love this guitar, it plays 10/10, comfort 10/10, sound 10/10, jamming 10/10, plays like an electric or an acoustic, rock, metal, whatever, it talks, sings, screams, cries, I'm crying right now, I should be talking about my wife like this, she's also a lovely woman. I don't know if it's all guitars in this model that are made like this or I got a special one. Sorry but you can't try mine. God bless.
I love this guitar.
