Alnico Classic PRO Pickups Provide Classic P.A.F. Tone

At the heart of the Epiphone Les Paul Classic are Epiphone's acclaimed Alnico Classic PRO humbucking pickups. Wound with Alnico V magnets and enamel-coated wire, these pickups produce the warm, harmonically rich tone of vintage PAF humbuckers that shaped rock in the 1950s and '60s. With tones ranging from thick, creamy rhythm sounds to searing leads, the Alnico Classic PROs make this Les Paul a tonal powerhouse.

Coil-Splitting Provides Single-Coil Versatility

While the Epiphone Les Paul Classic has the tone of a traditional Les Paul, its electronics provide modern versatility. Both volume knobs feature push-pull pots for coil-splitting the Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, turning them into single-coils. This provides brighter, snappier tones, allowing this Les Paul to authentically capture classic rock and blues sounds as well as jangly pop and country twang.

    Bought the Epiphone les paul classic online back in December and received it in great time. The only issue was the output jack was unusable. The guitar cable would insert partway but not click in. Got to love the quality checks.

    I can't find a single fault. The neck finish and fretwork is flawless, and intonation was perfect right out of the box. Sounds great to me.
