One of the best basses I've ever owned.

This bass is truly remarkable for the price. It's light, but solid feeling, it growls, it was setup out of the box quite well with no fret sprout or roughness mentioned in other reviews. I am planning on buying all colors(no I'm not kidding). What a killer deal!
Amazing feel and tone

I am always looking for something that is interesting, I knew nothing about the Epiphone Embassy Bass or the legacy from which it came. I am not the greatest bass player in any form, but the color, comfort, styling caught my attention and was interesting to me. The fit and finish is top notch, not a flaw in the finish anywere, tone is amazing. Epiphone put quality into this instrument. This is a far departure from my normal style of basses from BC Rich, Jackson etc. but I really do love this bass...

When I picked it up the look and feel was great. Plugged it into an Amp and all around sound was impressive needless to say I left the store with a new bass. At the register the bass was swapped for a new in box model however whenever they do this ensure you test it out with an amp.. I had to come back and swap it for the floor model as the 1st frett was all buzz electronics failed 80% of the time.
Amazing value. Plays and sounds incredible.

This rates up there with some of my basses that cost 10x as much. I bought it as a living room beater bass, but wouldn't hesitate to bring it on stage or record. I wish that I started learning on a bass half as nice. I'd recommend it to a novice, a professional, or anyone in between.

How much does the bass weigh
All basses vary depending on the density of the wood. Even the same model can vary up to 1.5 lbs Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Bass Guitars are generally between 8.00 and 10.00 lbs. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 8.5 lbs.submitted2 years ago

Is this really made in the USA? I've seen pictures on other sites with stickers saying "made in China".
I am very sorry for the confusion. It's made in China. Thank you for pointing that out. I will pass it on to our web team.
