Great sound / poor quality construction. Especially with an Epiphone at this price.

  • Epiphone made a great instrument.

The instrument out of the box was in tune. Next, the sound, the Gibson mini humbuckers really do a difference. I tested my guitar on a Twin Reverb, no pedals and it is glorious. Overall, the guitar is not perfect, but It's easy to play and sounds great, looks awesome. Go watch Gene Cabrera - The perfect semi hollow guitar? | Epiphone 150 Anniversary Sheraton in you tube.

I'm not getting paid for anyone to read this, so I'll get the "but" out of the way first. This is my third 150th Anniversary Sheraton, and all three guitars had the same problem, and that is that many of the saddles on the tune-o-matic bridge are loose. While I strum the guitar strings, I can feel the saddles shift up and down, and they travel a pretty far distance. This third one I now decided to keep is not as bad as the first two. The first two had the high E, the B, and the G strings saddles very loose, and on this third one, only the G string is loose. I will eventually file a warranty claim with Epiphone/Gibson, but until then, I really love the way this guitar sounds. I recommend you all watch the video review by The Trogly's Guitar Show on YouTube, entitled "This New Epiphone is SURPRISINGLY Good!" This review is the best breakdown I've seen of this guitar. Trogly says it all in that video, and I agree with him 100%.
