Overview

Amp up your guitar’s tone life with the same premium electric guitar strings that experienced players worldwide trust to keep their incredible tone longer than any other string available. Unlike other string brands, Elixir Strings coats the whole string. This protects not only the outer string surface but also the gaps between the windings where common tone-deadening gunk typically builds up in other brands’ coated and uncoated guitar strings.

Who wouldn’t love more quality playing time between the hassle and cost of string changes?

Engineered to endure, these nickel-plated steel electric guitar strings boast a ton of bright, vibrant presence and dynamic punch. Compared to our original POLYWEB Coating, the ultra-thin NANOWEB Coating allows a more traditionally textured, "uncoated" feel.

For a slicker, gentler feel, try a set of electric guitar strings with Elixir's original POLYWEB Coating, which also feature a warmer tone.

Of course, the kind of string you play is all a matter of personal preference. Not sure what tone or feel is right for you? Try them out for yourself, and find your new favorite string from Elixir Strings.

NOTE: Your packaging may not reflect image shown as Elixir is changing packaging on this product.

The best I've ever used

By Will M.

from Huntsville, Alabama

Comments about Elixir Electric Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Heavy (.012-.052):

My friend told me about Elixir strings once. Before, I was using D'Addario XL 11-gauge strings, and after 2 weeks of light de-tuning and re-tuning, the high E string snapped. This was a .011-gauge string mind you! When I scrounged up the cash, I bought some of these strings, and I can safely say these are some of the best strings I've ever used. My fingers slide effortlessly across them, and they have some of the richest tone I've ever heard from a guitar string. If you need new strings, do yourself a favor and get these!

Unbelievably great strings

Comments about Elixir Electric Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Heavy (.012-.052):

I have Elixirs on every guitar I own. The heavies are perfect for jazz; I have those on my Ibanez wooden-bridge archtop and my Les Paul Florentine. Excellent, even tension across the strings, and the simply feel incredible. I just can't go back to playing anything else; they all feel tacky now. The coating makes Elixirs fast, smooth, and incredibly playable, and they stay that way forever. These break in like normal strings, but they retain their tone for so much longer it isn't funny. The tone is big and versatile: a perfect canvas for shaping your tone with your amp and effects. You WILL save money when you switch to Elixirs. The slightly higher price is WELL worth the at least tripled life span you get. Plus you get superior playability, and awesome, long-lasting tone. You have no reason not to order some right now.

Comments about Elixir Electric Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, Heavy (.012-.052):

First off, Elixr is great. Period. This gauge though, is perfect for lower tunings. The 10-46's are good for standard, (EADGBe) but these work pretty well for lower tunings like what I play. (CFA#D#Gc) These strings hold GREAT tone and tunage! Definitely sticking with the 12-52's for this tuning.
