for years i have searched for a good,secure strap that was long enough.i am 6 ft 5in and cant stand to play with my guitar at chest level.maybe that was the thing to do in 1955,but it isnt comfortable.also,it just isnt rock n roll.also,i no longer have problems with my guitar bouncing off the deck.thats a good thing to avoid.i know its just a strap but being comfortable and confident makes me a better player.

While this is a nice strap that I'd love to use it is fairly useless as the length is far, far too long. I'm 6'3" and I cannot adjust this strap to be even close to short enough to actually get the guitar high enough to play. It's seemingly designed for no one, it could've been made a LOT shorter and been useable by more than 1% of the population. The description needs to clearly state that this thing is oversized, partially my fault for not paying close enough attention but I really would not expect to ever see a strap that on it's SHORTEST adjustment is still way, way too long.

The EVH strap is obviously well made-It's for frickin' Eddie for God's sake!The one issue is that retailers will only get the extra-long strap, so unless you're Buckethead, or over 6-04, the guitar will be somewhere around your knees or lower. The shorter strap is apparently only available through EVHGEAR.COM or VANHALENSTORE.COM at this time, and yes, there are two different lengths. Despite that, it adjusts really fast and positions the guitar right where you want it without having to unload the guitar and pull the slider ring or re-thread the one end. Strap it on a Wolfgang or EBMM, be born in Holland to a Dutch father and Malaysian mother, sit on your bed for hours and noodle, and you just might be someone! Thanks to whoever is responsible for putting a high-quality strap on the market that is actually adjustable to a real-world length! Massive, simple and virtually limitless adjustability. And LEATHER no less! Throw on a set of dual-action Dunlop strap locks and let 'er rip.
