The Reverend Willy's Mo-Jo Porcelain Guitar Slide is crafted of high-fired porcelain and coated in a thick glaze, resulting in tone that's articulate but not too bright. First, this is a nice slide. But it is virtually identical to the "Moonshine" slide. Both the Rev Willy and the Moonshine are made by Dunlop, both are porcelain, they are the exact same length, have the exact same inside diameter and both have that 'unfinished' interior texture that really helps it feel secure on your finger. Both slides have great, warm yet bright tone (somewhere between glass and brass slides). Both have the same outside gloss. Both will shatter to pieces if you drop them on a hard floor. So what's the difference? Well, the Rev Willy is ever so slightly thicker - and I mean by less than a millimeter, certainly not enough to effect the tone or sustain - and, well, it has that cool logo on it. And it costs a few bucks more. If it's worth the extra money to have the logo, then go for it. Otherwise, stick with the Moonshine. I've been gravitating more and more toward porcelain and ceramic lately because I they give you a tone closer to brass while still being light weight like glass. I've been playing with both the Rev Willy and the Moonshine and find them totally interchangeable. If you put a blindfold on me, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. So if you're looking for a good porcelain slide, you can't really go wrong with either this slide or the Moonshine. If you don't care about logos, save yourself a few bucks and get the Moonshine (which may not have the logo, but does have a really cool, vibrant, eye-catching shade of blue).
