Dunlop
Description

The Dunlop PVP108 pick jazz III variety pack provides seven different gage and material options for jazz III picks, allowing you to experiment with different tones and find what suits your playing style. The pack includes one each of ultex, tortex, delrin, carbon fiber, stainless steel, nickel silver and brass picks. Whether you prefer a warmer, rounder tone or an articulate, defined attack, this pack has you covered.

Ultex for a Smooth, Warm Tone

The 1.0 mm ultex pick produces a smooth, warm tone that rolls off the high end for a mellower sound. Its medium guage also provides excellent control and articulation. Ultex is a durable yet flexible material that molds to your grip over time.

Tortex for Versatility

The popular tortex pick comes in a 0.88 mm guage, suitable for both rhythm and lead playing. Made of cellulose acetate, tortex picks provide an articulate, well-balanced tone with plenty of clarity in the midrange and controlled bass. They are also highly durable and textured for enhanced grip.

Delrin and Carbon Fiber for Bright, Crisp Attack

The 0.73 mm delrin and 1.0 mm carbon fiber picks produce a bright, crisp tone with pronounced attack, ideal for genres like rock, jazz and bluegrass. Delrin offers slightly more flexibility while Carbon Fiber is extremely rigid for the most defined picking response. Both are lightweight yet strong.

I am a big fan of jazz 3 picks because of their thickness and size. They're great for precision guitar and after playing them it's hard for me to do back to traditional picks. This multipack is a good variety selection for players new to jazz 3's.

  • I'd buy them to explore different thikness

Rock guys! If nobody has told you? You may as well start out with 1.0-1.5. You're gonna end up here anyway. Look up Metallica, Malmsteen, Friedman, Zack!, Sykes' 90% are using Dunlop thick! Yes you will still need Dunlop strumming picks if you are strumming more.

Good idea to buy to test a bunch of different materials for the shape I consistently use for all of my guitar playing. I normally use the red nylon Jazz III's, but I was curious to hear what the other picks sounds like with my electrics, not to mention how they feel #sweepstakes

I am a bass player learning guitar so picking is not yet my forte. This bag has picks the same size and shape but the thickness is different. This gives you a chance to see what you like.

  • One of my favorite picks to buy. I love these picks.

Never thought I'd fall in love with jazz 3 picks but they are now my favorite to play with. I always choose guitar center when I need essentials such as guitar picks.
