Dunlop
Description
Herco’s original Herco Flex 75 Picks were used by some of some of Britain’s greatest guitar players. Available exclusively in the UK from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s, that particular nylon formula imparted a unique warmth and flexibility that to this day has guitar masters and pick collectors alike scouring the world for vintage pieces. Dunlop found some of those original picks and carefully analyzed every detail.

They used these findings to create the Herco Holy Grail Pick so you can get the same vintage mojo without having to maintain a collection of rare and expensive vintage picks. From the tactile feel of the material to its tone and flexibility, this pick will take you back to London and the birth of legendary British hard rock.

My favorite picks - NOT .73mm

Dunlop has made their Herco line extremely confusing. There are the Flex series that are cheaper and come in 12 packs, and then the more "authentic" Vintage '66 and this, the Holy Grail, that come in 6 packs. The Flex 50 and 75 that is printed on the back of some of these has NOTHING to do with the actual gauge of the pick. It's a shame that the gauges are not printed anywhere. These Holy Grails with Flex 75 printed on the back of them are actually 1.01mm thick and are my favorite picks. Incredible warm tone and great feel with the flexibility of nylon but a stiffness and snappiness that is the unique thing about the Herco formulation that Dunlop has tried and failed to get right until now. They last forever and have an awesome circular grip as well. These are special picks and can be used with both electric and acoustic successfully. They are worth the price and are not just another nylon pick. If you're wondering about the other Hercos, the Flex 50 and 75 were Dunlop's first attempt and they failed. They are pretty soft in feel. The Flex 50 is .65mm and the Flex 75 is 1.01mm. The Vintage '66 is favored by some and they are great picks. They have less grip than the circular Hercos but are the stiffest of the Herco formations with great tone and feel. I love the gold Lights at .84mm for acoustic. The white XLs are .73mm and the silver Heavys are .96mm.

I like he pick ! But not the engraving.. I'd buy it again.

It's a good pick. But the engraving is not too good. I like the logo and the pick itself but a little of if clings to my strings.. needs a little improving. Or the engraving could be a little smaller.
