Good Value. Easy to Use.
All effects are of good quality. This is an excellent unit for practice (with headphones). Reverbs sound big. There are a number of delays from which to choose. This unit is very easy to use. The choices provided should be enough to keep anyone busy. Although there are many distortion types, they seem a bit 'buzzy'. Deep editing is not available but the defaults are acceptable. It is light and compact - and includes the power supply, which is a big plus++++.

Terrible multi Effects unit
All the presets sound exactly the same. There is a wah but no wah effect. All sound banks are just distortion. It would be good for a heavy metal trash band.

You cannot argue with success and the thing fairly stinks of success.

Tons of great tonal variety, well worth the money.

For me there is a little bit of a learning curve to get the most out of this pedal, which is to be expected I suppose. Perhaps the downloadable users manual could be written a little more clearly. I have explored more than half of the sounds and have learned how to tweak them and store them. The sounds and effects are excellent. I works great with my Roland Cube. I couldn't be happier with the tone shaping but there are just one or two things that could be better, as another review already mentioned the only power supply available is an ac plug in adapter , a battery back up would really be great for remote locations with the optionally battery powered Cube (which is a super 5 star product in my estimation). Also there is no on/off switch. I suppose these things make the Element a little cheaper but really I think the added cost would be well worth it on an otherwise excellent product.

I use it just for get togethers with friends and practice. I gave it 4 stars only because it didn't come with directions and I am old school (a.k.a. older than dirt) so I had to find somebody to down load and print the directions for me. This is my fourth multi effects box and each one has a few each that I like. To me they are all good. It's well built, controls are similar to other systems. Overall it's a nice rig.

Can you use the XP unit for bass guitar
You can. The sound won't be optimal since it's designed for a guitar, but you can do it.submitted6 years ago

Can this be used for bass as well as acoustic guitar
This is not equipped to handle the bass or frequencies adequately. An acoustic guitar may work through the pedal however. This pedal could be used with a bass or an electric guitar.
