The Dean USA Hillsborough 5-String Electric Bass hits all the right notes. It features an swamp ash body with a gorgeous walnut top. The bolt-on maple neck has an easy-to-play C profile and 22 jumbo frets. Active electronics include a Bass Lines Active MM Style 5-String pickup with 3-band EQ. The bass is made in the USA comes with a nice hardshell case.

    The guitar is well constructed with a solid Koa body & top. I like the thin width of the neck, easier playing for me. The guitar may need a pro set-up, as it is difficult playing high up the neck. The Fishman electronics uses the 201, lower grade unit. The abalone inlay is well done. A stylish guitar with great value at this price point.

    I am left handed, but play upside down from right handed. Is this model capable to switch the strings to upside down right handed? Specifically the neck string dividers.
