I fell in love with the red quilt guitar as soon as I saw it and waited patiently for it to be delivered. I took it out of the box and started playing as usual and soon found that the high string was too close to the edge of the fingerboard and kept sliding off as I played. I tried to move the nut over a little, but found that when the slot for the nut was cut it was too deep and the maker had lifted the nut with some kind of filler. After going through numerous tries to move the original and buying various other nuts, I could not make the guitar have any kind of good tone. I was also disappointed to find the brass hardware was painted black and chipped real easily. I guess Indonesian guitar luthiers need some more experience...
INCREDIBLE GUITAR

2 years ago I got back into electric after a 15 year all-acoustic hiatus. Already had a an early 2000s Schecter S-1+, an Ibanez AX32, and a G&L Tribute Tele. All nice enough guitars, (the Schecter = best) but obviously not high end. I've wanted an LP-style axe forever and committed to spend $1k-$2k. Ocean Burst type color it had to be. Ebony fretboard was non-negotiable. Everything else was on the table. Settled on this baby and she's nicer than guitars I've played for 2x the price. The pickups are ridiculous, the playability was great before a setup...after setup it's PERFECT. The satin neck and no-heel make going up and down the board effortless, it was even too easy to play so I put a gauge higher strings on it. Never goes out of tune and I'm a string beater. And it looks...like a piece of art, sometimes I just stare at it or pick it up just to look at the finish...it'd a showstopper. I've had it almost a year now and I'm SOOO happy I didn't buy anything else. My favorite guitar ever.
