Compares favorably to the Gibson ES-339

I play this and the Gibson regularly to practice and relax. Other than a slightly longer radius on the neck of the D'Angelico, the two are virtual clones. The Gibson might have a slightly brighter sound. Fit and finish are excellent. All in all it's a beautiful guitar.

Why is this guitar so much more expensive than other D'Angelico Mini DC that I've seen elsewhere? I notice the pickups are different and the hardware is gold. Any other differences?
