D'Addario

Description

D'Addario XS nickel electric guitar strings combine D'Addario's premium nickel-plated steel wrap wire with an ultrathin polymer coating for maximum tone and playability, providing the longest life of any D'Addario electric guitar string. The XS nickel strings are crafted for discerning guitarists seeking rich harmonics, clarity and definition in their playing. The reformulated nickel-plated steel provides a warm yet cutting tone, while the high-tech coating allows the strings to age with grace, maintaining tone and tuning stability.

Fusion Twist Technology Enhances Tuning Stability

At the core of each XS Nickel string is D'Addario's NY Steel hexagonal core, which provides superior intonation and stability. The Fusion Twist wrap process gives the nickel-plated steel tighter grip on the core, reducing slack for enhanced tuning stability and longer string life. The combination of premium materials and innovative construction results in strings that sing with harmonious overtones and sustain.

Ultrathin Polymer Coating Preserves Tone

While coated strings tend to dampen tone, D'Addario's groundbreaking XS coating technology provides a smooth playing surface without compromising the strings' acoustic properties. The micro-thin polymer coating allows the wrap wire and core to vibrate freely, producing the warm, articulate tone XS Nickel strings are known for. The coating also helps prevent oxidation and corrosion, enabling the strings to last up to five times longer than uncoated strings.

Light Top/Heavy Bottom for Versatile Tone

The 09-46 gauge XS nickel set has a super light E string for effortless bends, coupled with a heavier low E string for full, punchy basslines. The variation in string gauges produces a wide range of tones, from bright and jangly to deep and distorted. Whatever your playing style, XS nickel strings have you covered with their rich harmonic palette and dynamic responsiveness.

Premium Quality and Value

As with all D'Addario products, XS Nickel strings are precision engineered and digitally controlled to the highest standards of quality and consistency. Guitarists around the world rely on D'Addario for premium strings and accessories and the XS nickel set delivers exceptional performance and value. Experience the difference premium strings can make in your tone and technique with D'Addario XS nickel electric guitar strings.

These are my go to guitar strings,

I know many players don't like coated guitar strings, D'Adario XS strings (both acoustic and electric) are the best and most natural feeling and sounding coated strings that I have found so far. I have tried coated electric and acoustic strings from all the big names in strings and I keep coming back to these. Like coated strings because the guitars that play almost daily, The strings still feel and sound great when I go to change them after about a month. And for the instruments that get played infrequently I change the strings at least once a year whether they need to be changed or not. On any new guitar that doesn't come with them from them from the factory, Just experiment with guages sand on acoustic phosphor bronze to dial in you sound as meeded.

I wouldn't buy this product again.

I have a been playing the guitar for decades and have always played flat-wound strings. I have never used a set with a naked G-string. I specifically requested a wrapped G-string when I had Guitar Center do the set-up. When I got the guitar back it had a naked G-string. It has had a negative impact on my future relationship with Guitar Center. Incidentally, I have been using D-Addario Chromes for a long time and like them.

I switched recently from the Elixir Strings and couldn't be happier with these. They aren't as slick as the Elixirs and I'm able to grab these for bends much easier. Couldn't be happier with these strings. #sweepstakes

I love Ernie ball heavy bottoms, these just do everything better. The coating makes playing that much better and imo worth the price. #sweepstakes

I love this strings and I believe that the coating makes playing guitar that much more enjoyable. My hands swear a lot when I play and having strings that don't rust after 2 days and actually maintain that slick feel is worth the price to me. They don't sound bad and will be my go to.
